Any ideas on How A F F can attract more women to join ? Hello all, I was talking with a friend/fellow member here about the ratio of men to women and it seems more and more women are quitting the site and blaming the glitches, the way some male members treat them and the way the site advertises..so here is my question, How can we attract more women members to join the site which will in turn lead to more men being willing to pay/join this site to meet the female members ? What kind of advertising would you like to see ? What attracted you to A F F ? Did you find what you were looking for ? What things would you like to change ? I will do my best to make sure all replies reach the management of this site. I was going to write this post out and was delayed by an email here on site so I went to go read/reply to it. I do not know this member, never saw him in chat, blogs, advice line etc..He seemed to be upset over the numbers that follow my handle name. His own handle name has numbers in it associated with a British film series. I replied to him very politely and joked with him about his own set of numbers. He wrote back that basically he'd rather be him and the British series then be associated with my numbers. I took a deep breath and wrote back to him, again very polite and wishing him good luck on the site and hoping he'd find what he was searching for. Yes, you guessed it, a swift reply telling me he was only " curious " and that was it. I tried once more with kindness . I suggested that a great way to satisfy his curiosity was to check out the amazing blogs and profiles that members write then you'd be able to tell if you and the member would be compatible and shared interests..One last time, he dashed off a reply to me saying that he NEVER read profiles and that it doesn't matter at the end of the day and Luck does not exist and that I am a woman so I would go against his reasoning. (WTF ?? ) I had to check his profile again to remind myself he was a 20 something yr old man looking for women here, two women at one time is his preference. I hope he finds whatever he is searching for but I for one, was not impressed with him or his style and did not bother replying to the final email. My Point in mentioning this incident with the emails is to ask..Did he believe the site advertising and expect all women to fall on their knee's before him ? Are these the kind of emails that women are being flooded with and complain about ? If the site changed the way it advertised itself and attracted more women to join would emails like the ones I received tonight diminish ? If the site changed how it advertised to both men and women would the results here be better ? I know we've discussed in some of my other blog postings the other things members would like changed and I've given all your ideas to the Management and the Man who founded this site.. Let us see in this post if we can all put all our heads together and see a way to attract more women to this website and increase our membership here. How to get more women on the site? Pay them. The site already treats the women like a commodity, so you might as well get paid if you're going to be used. Smart as a horse and hung like Einstein.

Hello All, I was talking about this blog I wrote and the members who were kind enough to take the time to read/reply to my question of How can we attract more women to the site ? She suggested that we advertise there are More men here then women..and laughed. I am thinking pointing out the obvious in the adverts to women that there are soo many men here that could be a nice incentive to join. (She is in marketing btw ) I think that is a cute, funny, sexy without being dismissive and truthful too. What do you think ? Well clearly all the dick pics don't attract the winces the same way as us blokes drool over all the tits on display. So it boils down to the question of "what women want" don't it? Now if the divine wankers that run this site were to go a bit upmarket and advertise the fact that this site can boast at least one noble knight as a member, I am sue there would be a stampede of buxom wenches wanting to sign up. The problem is that as far as I know there is only one of me here and at my age there is a limit to how many virgins that I am able to deflower. Sir Teezalot WAR IS ABSURD

Oh dear sweet Ana, you pose an interesting question. What more could the site offer women? If they create an 'icebreaker' message, they have a gold membership (I'm not sure how long it lasts but, it is pretty much free for a couple of minutes of typing). The site has now made it where you can choose your 'censorship' of photos, so if you don't want to see the package picture, you get a nice X to view instead. A member can opt to block someone from completely interacting with their profile, if they so choose. These are all things the site managers could put in an ad (fine print mind you), they can also list that there are X+Y million members and X million of them are male, more for you to choose from. Which like in life in general there is typically more men than women. I cannot tell you how many times I've gone to a pub, bar, tavern or club and did the head count of the sexes. Sadly I cannot come up with an idea about minimizing the number of d-bag men that are on the site. Perhaps tone back the ads that get all the men excited, get laid by a hottie tonight! Or the other BS that young and dumb men tend to believe. Maybe, a warning window to the male members when they try to contact a female that there is the possibility that she will not be receptive of your advances. To help minimize their bruised egos... As your commented emailer seemed to have an issue with. Oh.. I need to start reading your blog now don't I? Ciao!

What I have found on here (namely the state that i live in).. is a lot of racial tension. Had to laff at the responses I have had on here that ACTUALLY SAY "Not into Blacks" "Not into negro men" etc... While outside of the state, I have been saddened over the fact that theres not enough REAL, women to go around!Maybe make more options free for women.. to give them incentive to stay and wade through the crap that men DO give to women on here. Those that "JUST HERE TO LOOK AROUND" should not have a profile. Those that do not have a filled out profile should not have a profile. Just my 2cents. ~Linc was here.~

Hello, So far so good..We are off to a great start here. I like what I am seeing and hearing. I appreciate everyone having a look at my post and sharing their thoughts/ideas and concerns. I know that some of the members have expressed to me that they do not like the Phouse ad's/banners on site. I was talking about the way the site advertises itself elsewhere..how can we attract more women to this site ? How can we convince more women to join here ? I would like to add a thought or two here and a question.I have been reading the advice line and have heard from many men as QuietinKL mentioned above, that they are upset as standards that they can not read profiles. That has been an ongoing issue since the late 90's and early 2000's as far as I know. I think when any of us join this site, standard or Paying member we need to follow all the same rules as everyone else does. When a man joins the site for the first time as a standard to just see what it is all about, his first impressions might lead him to paying for a membership based on what he sees here and how he enjoys the site. I have thought long and hard about standards and their ability to read profiles. The one thing I always wondered about when men told me they could not read profiles is how on earth do the men connect here on site and learn about a female member if they can not see her profile ? I would like to see a policy where standard male and female members can view so many profiles per week as long as they follow the rules, do not engage in violations of the TOU and engage with the website..blog, join a group, use chat rooms..ask a question o n the advice line. To get the most out of even a free membership takes only a small bit of effort. Then the standard male can earn the right to be able to look at more profiles and send emails. If he is satisfied and we hope he will be, he might then take the time to pay for a membership here. After he puts in that much effort to maintain his membership it is highly unlikely he will break the TOU or send abusive emails to women on site. The more we can cut down on abusive behavior on site from both men and women, the better the site will be for all. I like the idea of offering women the free incentives to join.. 1) More men then women on site..Come take a look at what the site can offer you. (This site has always been more of a social networking site than sex site. ) There are blogs, magazine, groups to join on several different topics/levels. ALL FREE to be a part of and use. Showcase that in the ads..The site offers more then just sex..and members join here, free or paid for a variety of reasons and we should put that in the adverts. 2)Free Gold for the ladies ( Gold members see more profiles, larger photos and have access to more members ) 3) Gear the way we advertise the site in a more female-friendly way..Point out the free perks, the ratio of men to women and all that the sites can offer so you can explore them and enjoy them at your leisure. Drop the " Get Laid in 5 minute " type of ads that only promise what can not be delivered upon. The women will feel better/safer and the men will not feel cheated that what they were led to believe what this site is only to find out it is not. 4) The idea of featuring men who do engage with the sites community (blog, group, magazine ) so that they are seen by more women on site is a great idea. I'd like to see the same for the women who also engage the site. How great it would be to see men and women members featured and showcasing their involvement so they are seen and perhaps seen locally in the region/country they live in to widen the circle of the network of friends on site. ( Thank you Linc1912 & Garland9j for bringing this idea to my attention ) That is where my mind is at the moment..Hopefully more to come in the days and weeks to come. I concur with the free Gold Membership for the women. Give them an incentive to join and an opportunity to look at profiles so they can minimize the risk of becoming involved with a fake or a player. Bring them to the site by marketing the gender gap as well as the offer to give them tools [Gold Membership] to narrow their search.

Hello all, I wanted to add I am always collecting ideas on how we can better the site and your experience here. I want to remind my dear readers that there are 2 employee blogs to which you can share your concerns or problems. The one thing that has bothered me and mind you, I am ONLY speaking for myself here, is the employee bashing going on in blogs/elsewhere. There is a way for the site to be discussed without the screaming or hysteria. There is a way to offer constructive criticism without being rude or derogatory to any member or employee. Yes, folks hate the glitches and the bugs..WE all want the site to function better. I find that I prefer to read and comment on the blogs that do not use hateful words to describe people who work for the company or the site in general. Alerting folks to problems affecting members on site is a great thing to do..insulting people who are trying to fix those issues and glitches is NOT a good or fair thing to do. Again, this is MY opinion on MY Blog and I am entitled to it. I was talking about this situation with some friends and we all shared a similar thought..if the person posting that they HATE this site or the folks who work here why do they choose to stay a member ? There are over 884+ online dating sites that cater to all sorts of people/needs/wants..Why stay somewhere you hate ? Thank you all for reading this..Just something I felt had to be said. Offer a one month Gold or Silver free trial membership to the ladies! That will get a lot of ladies trying out the site and many may end up subscribing after there free month trial period is over. Great idea..I think the more incentives we can give to the ladies to join will help us increase the number of men willing to purchase gold memberships for themselves so they can interact with all the Ladies.
