Some people over do the spanking. And, some may do it too often and only use it.
My mother spank when I was growing up until I was a teenager. Looking back on it, I was more scare about it than the pain of it all. It was always on the butt and she never drew blood.
Yes. I spanked my kids but I mixed it with different punishment, too, like taking computer away.
This is a bottomless subject!

Cum to my blog and respond. Have a great kissing fun time.

You took your topic back to discipline instead of the 4 year old boy. I don't think you can have a discussion about this without feeling the need to justify one's position on discipline.

Peterson was way out of line and from what I understand, this is not the first incident. The pictures show the results of a sever beating with marks going from ankles to hips. That is abuse.

There a couple of things I am thinking on this subject...one, the NFL obviously has a problem. Two, if this is cultural, then the culture needs to change.

There is a difference between a good BJ and a bad BJ.

Yes, I wanted to focus the post on discipline vs abuse because I heard so many people semi-defend the idea of whipping with a switch. It seemed to be they were defending use of the switch, but that Peterson went too far. Yeah, no kidding. There was so much wrong with what he did. I find it troubling that he took the boys pants off in order to administer the whipping and stuffed leaves in his mouth. Apparently inflicting pain wasn't sufficient, the boy had to be humiliated too.

People either defend the use of spanking/whipping or condemn it based on their own experiences and it goes both ways. Some who defend it, were whipped, some who condemn it, were whipped. Very few who weren't whipped are supports of the practice.

Maybe this incident will shine a light on the practice and cause someone to think twice before they inflict this sort of treatment on their child.
