Leaving Sex Out of It

Okay, let's forget about sex for a moment. (Okay, I can't, but you can.) Just for a moment.

For those of you who don't live in England, can I just tell you that today was just a beautiful day. There was no cloud. The sky was blue with just a hint of heat haze. It was warmish, about 23 or 24 degrees, (that's mid seventies in farenheit) but it was a dry warmth so there was none of that sweaty mugginess British summer days so often suffer from. And there was a gentle cooling breeze.

Pretty girls were out all over town in their short dresses and low cut tops....,hold on a minute, I see where you are heading with that Dreamer, stop it. and there was a sense of optimism in the air. Summer is here, let's all go to the beach or have a barbeque or hang out in the park in the evening. DJ Jazzy Jeff's "Summertime" could have been playing from any number of cool car radios, although I didn't hear it. But it must have been; it was that kind of day in town. And in the nearby countryside, lazy fish swam near the river surface sipping in flies, Sheep chewed juicy green grass in the shade of spreading oaks and pigs rolled in mud-baths.

England's cricket team were playing a test match and I listened as my radio broadcast that most English of all commentators and all round dear old thing Henry Blofeld waffling wonderfully on about the wicket with the back door open all afternoon. I cut back over-grown trees in my garden to let in more light. I played my guitar. I had a call from a who wanted me to do some work for him, and I wrote excited emails to interesting people.

I love my life. Just thought you'd like to know.

We also had a sunny day, after flood warnings and a tornado, hardly heard of here. Ya just gotta smile and sap it all up.

Sounds like it was an almost perfect summer day. I hope it lasted through the weekend! Here is was just HOT...but even the heat was more tolerable than the blowfish!

It's funny you should mention that, because although I didn't see her on that particular day, yesterday I did. The weather was really hot, but she was still wearing what looked like a heavy black jacket over some kind of pinky-red cardigan. I only saw her from a distance, but she still seemed to have fairly thick leggings on under the customary short black skirt. I should think she was sweltering.

I think she was on her way back from work though, so perhaps she had to dress conservatively!

I would like to see her in somthing more skimpy and revealing, but then if she varied her style perhaps she would stop being mysterious GG and become just anohter pretty girl?

Sounds nasty, I hope the warnings were unfounded.

We don't have enough of them here, but it has been a good week. Rain due today, but I suppose we need it.

I can hear someone drawl; "Man that heat was uglier than a Colorado Blowfish."

Yes it was good. I'm glad I made the most of it too, because it's raining now, lol.
