Life Goes On!

Life Goes On! Wow...the last few weeks have been a lot of ups and downs...just really crazy. But yet again I have found something interesting about it all. You learn something new all the time. Things that should have been a warning to you, that you didn't see then but should have but didn't but now will know next time. I have been listening to one of my tapes, yeah tapes, I still have some.  But it was one of my favorite groups, Little Texas. One of the song that I have heard over and over again and was one of my favorite songs. It is so strange to me that I have heard that songs some many times before and just the past weeks found new meaning in the song. The song is Life Goes On. The part I like the best, which meaning just struck me was:Sun come up, sun goes down This old world keeps spinning around Not much has change Since you have been gone I miss you honey But life goes on No matter what happens life always goes on. What do you think? When you are down and out all of us think that life is over but the truth is that it isn't as bad as we think. This week I lost a friend, a friend that I thought was a good friend. He meant a great deal to me. But I guess if he was truly my friend he would have excepted me for me and not walked away because he didn't like what I was doing. Well, I have learned that even in my sadness of losing this friend that life goes on. What do you think a true friend really is?         |

When our friends fail to meet those expectations of true friendship, we are often left empty and disappointed leading to the wilting and ultimate death of friendship. Friendship, like love--and isn't friendship often a form of love anyway--needs to be sown in fallowed earth, fed and nurtured and constantly worked to bear beautiful fruits. Should we fail to care for friendship, the fruit often falls t the group left to the birds and bugs. We shall always reap what we properly sow and nurture. chat/c-ya soon

Hey Luv, As far as I know, the sun is scheduled to come up tomorrow no matter what. Gotta believe that if ya start the day above ground, you are off to a good start. Still, there are the trials and tribs we allow to knock us off kilter. Continue to worry only about what you can control. Continue to realize and appreciate your only true freedom is the ability to react to any situation. NO ONE can take that away from you. As for a "true friend", I am very leery to create a definition of that. When we set such definitions, me thinks we also create expectations--maybe like your "lost friend" did. When our friends fail to meet those expectations of true friendship. I shall see friendship like love, I can not define it, but I know it when I sees it : ) And, baby cakes, I know you are a true friend of mine  ChatSoon--F

I fear that the only time we deeply reflect is when we're down and out. Perhaps if we reflect when we're up...we can adjust to avoid the downs. Then again, I like cold toilet seats so what do I know? [blog talldarkavg1]
