I was woke up about 4 am this morning by the sound of rain on the metal roof. What a great way to get woke up after it has been so dry. I started a pot of coffee then took a long hot shower, grabed a cup of coffee and headed outside to enjoy the rain. I went and seen a surgon this morning, and my finger has started to get some life back into it, so No amputation for now. He explained we are trying to open up the smaller blood vessles to carry the load of the one I mashed shut.
I had got to thinking obout it and losing the middle finger on my right hand would of been a shame, that is the one I like to diddle with ha ha

I had some pain in 2 fingers on my right hand yesterday, Sunday morning, As the day went on the pain got more intense, and was accompanyed by numbness, Both fingers had a coolness to them which I figured was poor circulation.
I have had some intense pain in the fingers feeling like the bones were on fire in my fingers, I decided to go to the doctors and have it checked out. First the doctor was talking about having me get a scan done after nothing showed upon X rays. Then going to see a surgeon for a blood clot. I figured it happend a week and a half ago while working on a hay baler.
So I head home to wait for the appointment for the scan this afternoon at 4. about 1 pm the doctor calls and she had spoke with a surgeon and they decided to try medication to disolve the clot. sounds better than surgerey THEN THE KICKER!!!! if the medication doesn't work, they will have to amputate my fingers.
I have been joking about it, and I am sure it hasn't sunk in yet, but we will just see what happens, if it happens everyone can just call me stubby ha ha

it has been a long weekend, had some hay sold and needed to get it cut, raked and baled. Saturday I got some cattle sorted, then headed to the hay field, everything went good, Sat night some friends had a grand opening for their bar. Yep I stayed to late, but it was fun.
Yesterday I threw my back out and could not stand up strait, but there was still hay to bale. It was a major undertaking to get in and out of the tractor, But I got it baled just glad I didn't have to haul it in.
I also have something going on with my fingers, 2 fingers on my right hand are sore as hell, they are stiff, and feel like the bones are on fire, but the out side of the fingers are numb and cold, like the blood flow is cut off from them.
I got home about 8:30 last night, and it was all I could do toget undressed and into bed. My back has settled down by this morning, My fingers are still numb and cold, I might have to check in with a doctor to see what the hell is going on.

It appears that we are into summer now. we had 11 days of over 100 degree temps, which shut the building buisness down. it is just to hot to be working on a metal roof, especially when the customer wants a brown metal roof. This week it let up some and we had temps in the low to mid 90's not to bad but boy did we sweat our asses off. day before yesterday, I drank over 3 gallons of water and never peed. even yesterday morning after sleeping I bet I didn't peed 1/4 of a cup. I started drinking yesterday as I was starting my 2 1/2 hour drive, I had 2 power ades, a large soda from a fast food place and gator ade bottle full of just good old water. I was finally able to take a leak about 11:30 am. I must of been pretty dehydrated.
After spending all week wearing clothes that were soaked with sweat, stinking to high hevans, and just being uncomfortable. I was looking to spend the weekend naked, and enjoying myself but I have already gotten the cattle up, sorted out 3 head that are not mine, and am waiting on a truck. so much for the naked weekend. yea naked cowboying sounds cool but it just doesn't work ha ha

it was 1 am when I got home from working, I left at 7 am this morning and my butt is dragging.We did tear a roof off and replace it, then build a short wall and a screened in section around a BBQ area for the bar I go to. alot of hours, alot of sweat and sore muscles, but going to bed happy. hope everyone can say the same.

What a weekend

It has been a busy weekend, and kind of diffrent, first off dealing with the heat,101-103 all weekend, I finally got the A/C working on my tractor, it is hell to set in a cab made of glass with no A/C, about 130-135 degrees in the cab. I did get some hay cut raked and baled. and sold it in the field.
It is extra dry with this heat, and I had just finished bailing hay yesterday, got back up to my Mothers house where we were having a faimly dinner, I had just finished eatting, they didn't wait on me, but it was 2:30 before I finished. anyhow some one called saying there was firetrucks going into my hay field. It had my heart pumping double time as I took off to see what I could save of the equipment. Luckly it wasn't my hay field.
