Do I have problems ?


I was just sitting there watching the news, when this story came on. A 4 1/2 yo, an 18 months old and 5 month old baby, all girls, were found wondering, unacompanied, on the streets of Patras. They did not appear abused or unkempt. Police were called by a good samaritan, and they are now under the protective care of a hospital. Nurses have been unable to talk to them, as they are not Greek, and they speak just a few words. The sad thing is, nearly 4 days later, no one has come looking for them. Can not even imagine the feelings of parents who see abandonment as a better future for their than a normal family upbringing. I can not even try to imagine how these feel. Absolute desperation! It just reminds me to thank my lucky stars for seeing things in perspective. You see, for example, never having enough money to do all the things I want, or not owning a newer car, not having more job security, or not living in a better place, they are not really problems, if you look at the bigger picture. Plus, they are the story of my life. I am so used to them, that instead of problems the are just mundane reality at the most. I must admit though, it is an art. Learning to be happy with the things I have, is an art, and it took me almost 50 years to master it. How about you ?
