It's a Man's world?
It's a Man's world? It's a man's world it seems in the Rochester/Western NY Blogosphere. Why is it only men blogging here? We have 1 Female from Buff that is a regular and an occasional blog from W NY sporadically but every time I check the blogs it is just men..usually the same prolific ones. Is it just this area? I read lot's of blogs from all over and it seems we have a profound shortage here..is it just me or is this true? I am a voracious blog reader cause my puter is old and slow(Hmm reminds me of me) and I do not chat or even try to meet anyone I just like to read blogs to marvel at the human comedy online. Just curious ..am I off base here or??? |

I'm hearing the Carpenter's tonight singing "Close to You". I'm on a road trip of sorts, and it has taken me......... "Don't count the days, make the days count"

I only recently learned that Carole King wrote "Fire and Rain" for James Taylor. He was there, it's his story, he had input, but she did the majority of it and gave it to him. I would never have believed it, if not that I heard them personally relay the details on a concert special. "Don't count the days, make the days count"

Hmmmm, I actually thought there were more female bloggers than male??? There aren't many people blogging in my area either, but most of them are men. It's unfortunate, really, as it's a great way to get to know someone before deciding if you want to meet them or not (at least for me.)

"So Far Away", I don't think I know that tune. Who wrote it? From time to time I fade away from blogging for a while, and then come back to it. Such may be the case for other women also. The reason is frustration, with this site, myself, my life, societal presssures, etc.... I'm feeling it coming on now (for weeks). I dream of things, fantasize, want; but these dreams, fantasies, and wants are unattainable. It gets frustrating! So, from time to time, I turn back to my everyday life and try harder to make it better. Yet, time passes and I find myself coming back to this place. Or, maybe I'm just rambling after a poor night's sleep. Would love to hear you sing. In college I worked as a camp counselor. There were two male counselors that used to sing for us (and to me) in the late evenings. It was a pleasure. "Don't count the days, make the days count"

Off base? Look down at your feet. Are you standing on a piece of white rubber that is about a foot and a half square? There are plenty of lady bloggers, but a lot more men blogging. It reflects the general membership population. If anything, I think a higher percentage of women are frequenting the blogs. Or, maybe it is just that I encounter the same crowd everywhere I roam.
