Video and PC games!

OK I need to get on to a more cheerful and fun subject to take my mind off of things at the house, so I thought I would post on something that maybe everyone has experience with and that is PC and Video gaming!

When I was little, my first experience was with playing with my friends Atari 2600. We would play a bunch of games. Adventure!, Pitfall, Pong, Tank Wars, it was fun, but I never got my own system until I was and we got the Nintendo system, and our first game was Legend of Zelda. Man that was fun to !

As I got older, I ended up buying my own Sega Genesis system and playing that and then getting a PlayStation, Xbox, and then I got my own PC and started playing PC games. The PC games were much better and more involved. My first PC game was StarCraft, and getting a bunch of other PC games like Wing Commander (one of my favorites and had the whole series), Baldur's Gate (loved the D&D games), and a bunch of others as well. I was impressed with the PC games so much, that I started playing more games on PC than on the console games like PlayStation and Xbox, but I still played a bunch of console games as well.

I then started to crave online games, and quickly found how much of a life suck those were but man were they fun to . Asheron's , World of Warcraft, they all were fun to , but then...tragedy struck, and we had a lighting bolt our power system and all of my consoles and my PC were plugged in without power surge protectors and it all got fried in an instant. I lost a lot that day and it couldn't be replaced by the homeowner's insurance because we didn't take photographs of the items. I learned an expensive lesson that day.

Today I don't have any consoles. I have a crappy old year laptop PC that is dying. I'm thinking of getting a new gaming PC, but for now, I've held off on buying anything with the status of my mom. I can't justify getting an expensive gaming PC with my mom's health and me trying to get my bills in order. I hope that will change one day soon, but for now, I miss my PC and video games.

What game was your first video or PC game?
What was your favorite video or PC game that you loved the most?
Let's share your favorite game there as I want to hear your favorites!

Who can you call on to save the day?

Why none other than...

So far in my new abode I am limiting myself to Mah Jong which can be a time snatcher. My first Sega Genesis was Sonic Hedgehog and I immediately recall having blisters on my thumbs and fingers from staying up all night to reach the "last " that and a naval warship game at sea which I could switch with Sonic. Crow I would love to have another Sega system

(Virtual Symposium Group) use Virtual Symposium Group

My sisters loved Sonic! They would play that game constantly.

I remember Pong. It amazed me that there was something you could hook up to the TV and make things happen (as opposed to passively watching whatever the TV displayed). Soon after, I got an Atari 2600 as a present with several games, including Combat, Adventure, and Space Invaders. I remember pissing off my father by running a tank up to the wall and firing nonstop to make a constant high-pitched sound. Heh heh.

Since I was a kid then, I never knew about the erotic games until much much much much later. Now I have Stella and all the 2600 ROMs and the so-called erotic games are just plain BAD. 4-bit graphics limitation doesn't help that at all.

My favorite was Missile Command when I was young, that was such a cool game to play.

Today you should check out the games they have out now, many are they really crazy.

My first console was the original woody pong system, with a light capture long rifle. It had two installed games, no area for cartridges. Did a lot with the Atari 2600. Even still have a prime condition ET game (the one that sold so poorly that Atari bought back them, then burned and buried them inside a pit in Mexico). Also found the first easter egg in the game Adventure. Atari never let the coders get credit for their work, Adventure had a hidden dot, that opened a secret room that had the coder’s names. That was pretty cool.

Got a Game Boy that I used for years. PC gaming from the ‘80s to current. I did a bit with Everquest (got my ogre friendly with every race, funny walking through elf cities, only had to be careful about the bankers they would murder me.) Eventually got into WoW, made a lot of people cry in pvp, all from timing skills and abilities. One of my friends got us hooked on the original Warcraft, then Starcraft. Giant LAN parties where we would bring our desktop computers and play 8 person Starcraft or Quake Team Fortress. Team Fortress ... good god. I was an elite engineer and demolitions man. Helped take my clan to the top of the clan rankings. Everyone hated dying to me, mainly because my name was SnuggleKitty. they got completely out fought by SnuggleKitty

I will say, I think Team Fortress was my favorite. I was working for an inventory company, with insane hours. It was cool because I could join up and talk and fight with people at any hour. It would keep me awake for 3 hours between one job ending, and another beginning. That and I was good. Got into elite class guilds for 6 of the 9 classes. I had soo many titles I could tack on my name. The dreaded SnuggleKitty.

I really want a new gaming PC, but those can go upwards of 2 grand or more depending on how much you want to spend. I also used to love playing Tomb raider. That was a great game, and the puzzles in trying to open stuff to the next area was awesome.
