Our Birthday Bang - October 10th, 2009 I turned 40 this month and we decided to celebrate it with a bang. Unfortunately this time around, I got so fed up dealing with all the garbage involved with arranging these, that I almost cancelled the whole thing. A total of 23 emails were sent and we had 14 no-shows. We had the usual list of excuses - had to work, sick, car trouble, and family emergency. Surprisingly we didn't have any aunt or grandmother deaths which seems to be the most commonly used excuse. One person even deleted his account. Two particular no-shows stand out from the rest. The first no-show said he would be a little late due to work. I always ask people to be ontime so there are as few interruptions as possible, but I also understand that things can get in the way. His text messages began sometime before the gangbang even started. I'm old fashioned. I believe in picking up the phone and talking to people. In the end, he was going to be 2 hours late which was too late for us. The thing that made him stand out was his final text - "You get a good turnout? May I see pics?". This guy didn't have the nerve to show up or even pick up the phone, but he's asking for pics! The other no-show called about forty minutes into the gangbang to say he would be there in 30-45 minutes. After dealing with the texting guy, I was impressed that this guy had the courtesy to call, but he never showed. The gangbang was still a success. Nine great guys came to enjoy my wife's many talents. Jenny enjoyed every moment and we hope that they did too. |

Lucky Guys who showed! I still do not understand the joys of the BS some people spread. It makes it difficult for everybody...

I believe it...keyboard courage is an incredible thing....when it comes down to it, some people dont have enough to get it together and put in the actual effort. Good luck next time! Hopefully I can attend!

Happy birthday Jenny! Jenny and her husband are fine people and it's very disappointing that people lead them on. I wasn't able to make it this time so I didn't put my name on the list. I did participate in a gangbang they organized last winter and enjoyed it very much, even though her husband, whose name I forgot, kept apologizing for the quality of the hotel. Believe me I wasn't focused on the hotel! Guys: treat people respectfully!

If the arrangements of these things are getting to be a pain but you want to continue doing them I can give you the contact info of a group that will do all the work for you. You just pick the guys and the rest is taken care of. Don't let a few bad seeds spoil your fun.

I agree, guys you have to start keeping your word if you say you're going to go then Go! Nothing is worse than planning these to have them messed up. I haven't rsvp either because my schedule has been crazy! I know its easy to get caught up in the moment of everything with the excitement and all but if you're going to commit then do what you say. As for Jenny and her husband, glad to see you've kept having fun with the efforts involved. Its better than not having any fun at all!

Sorry to hear that. Let me know it I am fortunate enough to get an invite and I will be there. Sounds like you guys a very real and nice people too!
