IS THIS FOR REAL
IS THIS FOR REAL Question and your thoughts please. Have you ever looked at some of the pics attached to a profile and say to yourself "that just looks to good to be true". I wonder if these pics are just copied from another pics or sites", I mean, these people just look too good to be true. Also, have you ever met someone that doesn't look anthing like the pic on their profile? Wow, I can imagine your disappointment. Your thoughts on the subject..... Blackpearl |

Are you trying to tell me that all those flirts I get from beautiful 25 year olds aren't real? karlbloggerfeld - Dry-humping your legs since 2007.

Yes alot of the profiles are false advertising...lol...but let's be honest if you want to know right away then go do the bar scene or some other hang out. I don't have the desire or the time to waste on that at least if u do meet someone on here you know there intentions and they know your's!

We are forced to use our own judgement on AdultFriendFinder. I only post pictures of myself that have been taken within the last 6 months or so. I know this isn't always the case as I'm sure you have already found. I like the people that have tattoos, then they don't, then they do. They have a mole, then it's gone. Pierced, not pierced, etc, etc. I have decided to provide a "verified" photo as a result of your post. Thanks.

I have and I just don't pay it any attention. I can appreciate discretion as much as anyone. Have to at least post a real pic or nothing at all.

Yes i have seen persons who post pics that are aspirational (i think). Cant understand why they lack such self confidence on a site like this. Guess deep down they are REAL FAKES. Is that good english?

It's my understanding that there's a good amount of what I call 'tourists' here(!), who joined free with no serious intention of meeting anyone, chose and posted an 'idealizd pic'--of *somebody*--in the same way they choose 'avatar pics' for their other online 'social media' endeavors. Then (inevitably, I imagine), one day someone else reacts favorably to their fake pic...*now* the tourist/voyeur is getting attention based on someone else's photo attributes, and many (I'm sure) are intrigued by actual attention from strangers. Uh-oh! Now, having attracted someone with their 'false advertizing', they can't come clean and still maintain the respondent's interest. Ironically, they may have even found someone compatible with their 'real' self, but once started down that path, suddenly 'coming clean' about their actual purpose here (anonymously peeking at people's skin pix) will immediately alienate those they were trying to impress--who fell for the one in the fake pic; not the lonely, self-esteem-challenged one at the actual keyboard....I suggest that many also believe that "everyone (else) lies on the internet, too, so they're as fake as me, and will understand". I think this mentality is so prevalent that it's not so much a case of the pool of real people on here being diluted with fakes, but one of the pool of fakes is scattered throughout with the few of us who (flattering or not) DO use our real info, desires, and pix. I've been away from here for some 8 years, and that doesn't seem to have changed. I *am* gratified that the option now exists to 'verify' one's pix, and did so myself as soon as I put my profile up here...and then added enough criteria of my own to allow fakes (and those unhealthy-yet-arrogant blobs who yet demand that their *respondents* look like Hollywood) to take their BS elsewhere. I'm as likely, in a first contact, to include pix of racy little clay sculptures I make (to see if they have a sense of humor) as I am the 'obligatory' headless-man pic others send. Since my skin pix are in open galleries anyway, I don't see a reason to re-send them in a note of my initial interest. I rather try to see whether they have a sense of humor and/or a light heart.
