What do you suppose might happen if most everyone just skipped it this year? The way time seems to fly by, seems ridiculous to buy a gift for someone on a particular day of the year. Instead, just save up and go on nice vacation before, during, or after the retail-clearance day. Try the special gift of , "Hey kids, relatives, friends , and leaches!! We're skipping Christmas this year!!" Every year I buy loads of toys for the children who otherwise would wake up to nothing. It gives me great pleasure knowing I've given some joy to a child. That is my true happiness this one particular day of the year.
