Some people...
Some people... You know those people that think they're just the total and complete shit, and therefor can do no wrong, and everyone must bow down to and worship them? I hate them lazy ass fuckers. I was so glad to leave work this morning, and I'm so glad I don't have to go back until Wednesday night. It seems to me like every place I've worked, the day shifts tend to attract the obnoxious ones that just beg to be slapped, while the more relaxed, down to earth type tend to work nights. I wonder if it's like that everywhere...Any theories? |

I really need to stop writing when tired and cranky.

I work very odd hours, sometimes 24 hours, sometimes 36, but mostly a straight 12. It also means that some rather unique characters come in at nights. More interesting I would say, because god help us if any prima donnas had to come in at other hours. lol So, in a slightly abstract way, yes I agree. Go the Cranky! Vent! Ten massage your earlobes and rellllaaaaaaax.

It seems to hold true in most food service positions. I get where they rate a bit of the Diva treatment, because they are working a much busier shift more often than not. Sometimes they let that divatude bite them in the ass, with me at least. I will do pretty much anything they ask, but when they start demanding, they watch me clock out and leave. Mostly because I am just a bitch that way sometimes. "Shall I tell you the secret of the true scholar? It is this: every man I meet is my master in some point, and in that I learn of him." ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

When 7 am rolls around, trust me, I'm tired. But cranky? Not unless someone pisses in my Cheerios. Giving up sleep, yeah, it's double edged. Working all night wish some cool people though, it keeps me sane-ish.

I also found night shift workers tend to be more relaxed and easier to get on with. Perhaps it's because they don't have to rush so much to get to work everyday?
