 I would tend to think people that do that consider the person a trophy to be shown off. Unless of course there is another reason in the content of the photo, like a trip or important occasion.

 If He had One Above His Headboard and Always Wanted to Take You Doggy Style I'd Think It to be a Serious Issue! LOL
I have some collage frames in my hallway that have a couple of my X with family and friends and such but no big ones of just her anywhere or anything and none in my bedroom or on my fridge or nothing like that. Any Big Portraits or anything in the BRs etc a BIG NO FOR SURE!

 I've a friend who had a lot of pics of his deceased wife on the wall for a long time, several years. After a conversation he decided that yeah, now that he occasionally, actually very very rarely, had another woman over, he thought it best to remove all but one. They were very much in love and her early death was a big blow to the family. It's hard not to understand that and it will be interesting to see what happens if he gets serious with a new woman.
