FISTING AND A MANSLAUGHTER CASE


Fisting is sometimes called fist-fucking or handballing. It involves inserting a hand into a vagina or anus. If a fully-clenched fist is inserted, then, this is called punching or punch-fisting. Fisting (or punching) can be performed with or without a partner. Experienced people sometimes engage in double-fisting.

The best hand position at the start of fisting is called the silent duck – see photo above. It is called duck-billing if this hand position is used. It's said that it is the stretching rather than the thrusting of a hand or fist that gives most sexual pleasure.

Fisting can cause injuries, ranging from lacerations, perforations to air embolisms. In 1995, there was a landmark case in the UK, R v Slingsby. The man had consenting sexual intercourse with a woman. With her further consent, the man went on to fist both her vagina and anus increasingly vigorously. He was wearing a signet ring, which led to her receiving internal injuries unbeknown at the time. Later, the woman died from septicaemia. The man was charged with manslaughter. The Court of Appeal held that he had only fisted vigorously without intent to harm and that the woman had consented to the fisting. He was acquitted of manslaughter.

In the R v Slingsby case, should the man have been found guilty or not guilty of manslaughter?

Though have seen fisting take place at clubs and parties, I’ve never been a fister or a fistee. It’s near the bottom of my list of things to do! I’ve done a bit of duck-billing, though I made sure my fingernails were trimmed. I don’t wear a ring!
