 not all us get a handbook on how to be a good parent
but being able to love them and guide them is important
thought at times we might feel inadequate
sometimes we just have to trust ourself
and do what we think is right & to the best of our ability given that moment in time

 It's been quite a while since I've been on this site. Most of the people I read or who read me are gone. I've enjoyed your comments over the years, and I found you to be interesting to read. Times change people don't. Sometimes I think that it must suck being young now. But I find that young people, specifically you, have the same kinds of concerns I did way back when.

I adopted a 7 year old when I was 33. When my wife and I were writing our wills we thought about who would be good to raise him. As it turned out we didn't have to worry about that. He's 22 now. My only advice on having kids would be, if you're going to do it, don't wait too long. You don't want to be fifty taking care of a toddler unless it's a grandchild. Most people just don't have that much energy then. Good luck with whatever you decide.

I'm glad I found you and you're still writing.
