Ever Borrow From Another, & Can't Retrieve it

Have you ever thought you were getting a good deal by
borrowing things, or someone outright giving the items to you,
and when you go to pick it up, you can't get it loaded.

Well that happened to me this morning, trying to get ahead of this
bad rain storm they are calling for down here on top of us, the EX
was going out of town for the week and I asked about where to buy
EMT (Conduit) to do a project I am working on, and he said the
cheapest place was to drive behind his big metal building down to
his 'pipe'<b> rack </font></b>beside the wooded area behind his house and get as
much as I needed. No problem, 7am I was parked behind his house,
but one of his employees had not put some 2x8x16 PTreated pieces of
lumber in the right section of the rack, but on top of what I needed
to pick up, and I could not move them, so my trip over there for
freebies will be costly as I had to call one of his employees to go
free it up so I could go back and pick it up.

Never fails when I want to get ahead, things like this happen, and
now the employee who promised to go right on over there by 8:30 am
and free it up hasn't yet called to say it is loosen and down where I
can retrieve it, so looks very likely the whole day to accomplish
a small task will get put off till after this rain storm is over. Oh
well, nothing goes as planned, DOES this happen to any of the rest of
you???????

 Situation this morning very frustrating. Am sure the EX
never thought about what was piled on top and I would not be
able to get what I needed.
