Blatant ignorance...

It had never occurred to me that time could fly so fast! I was really surprised to be "alerted" by someone via IM that I had been ignoring my blog!

Well, I had been busy... real busy at work front. Tons of things to do, so little time, so little pay.. wish I could quit but dare not, due to the monthly bills to pay, mouths to feed... etc... typical problem for every living person. I really had nothing much I could write, until I read this in the news which got me fired up!

Someone thinks that the majority of the people would not be concerned about minister's pay and it would not affect poll results! What utter ignorance!

In the article by CNA, Cotta and Ong wrote that they acknowledged that this topic had been debated "many times over the years" and "and we had three days of parliamentary debate - full debate ..."! Can someone tell me this isn't this red-hot or what??!!

We live in a small country.. it is easy to manage a small country. How many talents do we really need? In terms of land mass, we are very tiny and in terms of GDP, it pales in comparison of US's $14 billion a year! I shall not mention about military might. How then, to justify a salary higher than the president of a superpower nation. I really wonder...

In fact I have also written a 2 page paper on this.. wonder if it is any good submitting it.. lol
