Still Wearing Socks
Socks during sex has always been one of those incredibly cringeworthy things that has been laughed about by groups of girlfriends, derided in women's magazines and downright frowned upon by, well pretty much everybody. Wearing socks during sex has even been cited as one of the top 5 reasons women would cheat on their husbands.

Socks have always been considered inherently unsexy and it is generally a bedroom crime committed by men. You will never find Hollywood condoning socks in a hot sex scene but what Hollywood doesn’t know (and I didn't know until this week) is that socks are directly linked to orgasm, especially female orgasm.

A study done by Dutch researcher, Gert Holstege M.D. Ph.D, found that socks promote warmth and comfort, feelings associated with calming a woman’s amygdala and prefrontal cortex — the brain areas responsible for anxiety, fear and danger signals. The areas that need to be suppressed in order to acheive orgasm.

Science aside, and trying to ignore that automatic cringe, there is something quite cute about a smoking hot guy in nothing but a pair of white athletic socks. It'll take some getting used to but I think I'm coming around to the idea of sex with socks on.

 Okay I'll say this, the Dutch know how to build the world's most
impressive dykes.....they seem to be a bit confused about socks

 You raise a very interesting point Lola. I strongly agree with you about the need to be comfortable and relaxed to be truly aroused. However there are two schools of thought on this - some say sex is a great stress reliever - which accounts for the baby boom at the end of World War II.

I've seen several profiles that have brought up the issue of wearing socks and sex, they're always against it and men have become conditioned to take their socks off as a matter of course. Women want to see a guy naked, "Come on Matt why are your boxers still on, are you shy?". By contrast it's been a trend for women to keep certain clothes on during sex, I've been told, "I like to keep my stockings, bra/PVC on during sex" - this is something a guy isn't going to quibble with at the time - they just want to get down to it. Keeping this underwear on is the 21st century erotic equivalent of a comfort blanket, a way of keeping sexy, warm, relaxed and happy.

 Hi Lola i was thinking of blog on wearing socks during sex and wondered if anyone has worn them ?? then thought that maybe its okay to wear them occasionally but there are times when we can take our socks off

I have found out quiet a few decent random sex tips from these sites and it is funny how often I've found them to be right, i'll try this next time
