Photography 101
Photography 101 Summer's winding down but out here it's just getting started as the coolest August in recent memory is transitioning into a hot September. Been busy working on projects most days and some evenings to get them completed. Right now that doesn't leave much time to play. Though I did get some erotica posted in the magazine and have been in the different chat rooms. And Labor Day weekend will hopefully be mostly labor-free. Heading out to some events with some friends. Good food and frolic mostly in celebration of the holiday that commemorates workers. Putting my somewhat challenged photo taking skills to the test and finally moved past the blurry stage mostly so yay for that. I did take a class in photography ages ago which included of course spending time developing film in the dark room. But as it turned out dark rooms can be used for other activities and alas the tutoring I received to bring my shutterbug skills up to speed didn't help those skills much. But it was sure a fun way to spend summer school. I've struggled a bit since with taking photos but have been putting some work into it. Some folks have also been helpfully giving me tips. When I first came here, I didn't know if I'd post any photos but aided by someone who dared me to do it, I did and kind of like it. I'm not a model (failed that course too) or actress but I don't believe you have to be. You just have to have fun with it. How people, male or female, perceive what you post is up to them but positive or negative, it shouldn't take away from the fun. It can be liberating too as I'm sure others have discovered for themselves. So anyway, I tried to take photos again and it's kind of interesting doing self-photos. I've had some people much better with a camera offer to take pictures and with some glasses of wine...hmmm...something to think about as I used to be camera shy. But here's a recent attempt some years after that summer course. I'm thinking of taking another photo class some day. Maybe get a better camera. I'd like to take a photo of a beautiful looking red diamondback rattler with rattles that look like perfect little beads made of glass without nearly stepping on him. |
