a unexpected addition

This year for Christmas I was given a puppy, it's daddy was half Australia Shepard and half blue heeler, his momma was half first and half rat terrier. So far I have only lost one nights sleep. He should be pretty good company while checking livestock, and maybe some day he will help also.

Yep he is turning into a pretty cool pup, and he was a complete surprise when my sister and nephews showed up with him.

my twin sister has a couple of blue heelers....amazing dogs! they can sense bears are around even when they are quite a ways up in the hills. Aren't they also herding dogs? I hope now that you've had him for awhile, you've bonded well and are having a good time.

He does have the heeler look but he is only 1/4 heeler, he is also Australian Shepard, fiest, and rat terrier. We are getting along pretty good, he will be 9 weeks old tomorrow. The house training went easy, of course treats helped with that. And we have been playing fetch so I. Can work some of the energy off him. Luckily it is a slower time of the year for me, and he does great riding in the truck. He sure does keep me on my toes though.

Thanks, he has gone from cute to ornery and pretty hard headed. He will get your attention when he grabs your hands in his mouth. Ha ha
