saturday night walk?
saturday night walk? Its Saturday night, and what better fun is there for a single guy who has a free night on the town? Hit your local Celtic Labrynth of course! This is the first time I've walked a Celtic labrinth by candlelight. I like to describe it as a way for you to get to know yourself better and find the answers that are inside of you. I didn't think much of it the first time I did one. It was on the university campus and was made of nylon rope. I was half cut on cider and had a date in tow. It was there and Had a date in tow. It was something ineresting to do, so I did it thinking it would make the date more interesting. I learned a lesson though. It was more than that for me. The blurb at the beginning said something about listening to what is going on in your head. At the time, that kind of what I was looking for. That slow walk in the labyrinth kind of opened me up to me. Strange, but it worked. I got a chance to to get to know me a little better at a time when I was looking to get to know me a little better. Came up with a few answers too. Its a walking meditation. At least that's how those in charge explain it to me. I'm grateful for that walk first walk in the summer sun, on the grass in my new home. I was grateful to the chance to actually listen to myself for that little bit of time. I was really grateful for the chance to get to know me a little better. That's what the labyrinth is all about I guess. I'm walking this one as I write this. You walk the path the way you want to walk it. You think the thoughts you want to think. Its pratice for real life in a way. You get to take the time to question how you walk, how you meet people, how you treat yourself. Ever walked a labyrinth? People are starting to think I'm texting while walking! Hahaha! |

Maybe be open enough to give it a try. I garden, and gardening is like meditation. The walk through the labyrinth was very similar. I went with four people. One did not want to walk it at all.... Which is ok. Thanks Sandra, for sharing.
