Not fucking in the corona era? It's been about 8 months since I hooked up with someone. My 2nd to last project before WFH was mandated by work. My last project was brief and international so I didn't get action while battling jetlag. Had I known it would be my last oppty to fuck for z while I would have made it happen. That being said, I am honestly surprised by the number of people messaging me seeking a hookup. Are you not aware there is a virus going around out there? If you are trying to meet up with strangers right now you are rolling the dice. There is no way of telling who is a carrier unless they get tested, and it's still really hard getting a test on most urban areas. These tests are probably more important than vd tests to be honest because this shit can kill you. Public service announcement: Stay 6 feet away from each other. Wear a mask. Stay home if you don't have to be out for work. Get your food delivered if you have that option. Be safe.  |

I'm all for safety an caution which puts the internet at our fingertips with an advantage in getting to know people before they feel comfortable meeting. But when only five states out of fifty are the only ones experiencing the kind of interpretation many people are buying into - its easy to determine something is working against the people. And its bigger than the media reporting the hysteria without the facts that matter most to the headline consumers that refuse to think for themselves. In fact, that's kind of how we got here in the first place. and that's the short version...

As with HIV, telling people to abstain from sex is not the best advice since Covid 19 will be with us for a while, probably forever, even when an effective vaccine is found there will be some who wont take it. We are learning how to manage living with this threat socially, economically and sexually.
