Not likely but possible. But if that you should have had a message by now. Sorry but this happens again and again. But then those type complain about no shows. Naughty and so enjoying it!!

I'm genuinely surprised that guys seem to be chicken, like this. If he had turned up, then surely a quick call or text to ensure you were on your way was in order? We have enough mad rants to endure in female blogs without these guys going out and giving you lot genuine grievances!

Even though replying to an older post I am amazed at how some people can be so cruel, when all it would take is a phone call to cancel.

In this day and age there is no excuse for not calling/texting you that he coudn't make it. His excuse a week later was lame. Something happened? Took a week to tell you. Have you talked to him again? Talk to me; I will treat you much better. Lee

All I have to say to that person is thanks, now maybe I have a shot and I'll show you how it's done. If you are not into to someone to the point that you are a no show and no call to a setup date then all you need do is just be a real man and say so.

I have been stood up twice by the same AdultFriendFinder profile holder. In this case I have suspicions that there is no "chickening out" involved. I don't believe that this profile is real at all. Some appear to be complete fictions. I have reported it as phony to AdultFriendFinder. This must be really unusual. Why would someone pay for a gold membership only to pretend to be someone they are not? Well, it takes all kinds. I do think one should be in good communications with the person(s) you are meeting. Things can go wrong. So the question is this: did you have each other's phone numbers? If you just use AdultFriendFinder messaging, it is a lot more cumbersome. Kik messenging works well, too.

A rule I follow: Always have the cell number of the person you are meeting. Confirm meeting/date the day before by TEXT message. Confirm meeting/date about one (1) hour prior to meeting/date. If no reply, forget about it. Those people are just not worth it. elli_Vegas

It was his lose Sarah! It was probably a good thing he didn't show because he didn't respect your time, you as a person and he broke that trust you had built up. It seems that it happens often on this site and it's unfortunate. I've had it happen several times and while it was a blow to my ego, I always recovered. Next time, we can go out and I won't stand you up! Take care babe!

I chatted for perhaps over an hour with a woman and we exchanged a bunch of photos. Her and husband's profile had many pics on it. Sh finally said they had put in a new hot tub and for me to come over and enjoy it with her. I got her address and phone number, and said I'd call her when I was around 10 minutes away. The drive to her place was around 45 minutes with traffic. So about 10 mins out I called the number. A woman came on the line who I didn't recognize. I quickly figured out it was all a scam. I did even circle past the address she gave me and didn't notice any hot tub. I drove home and got back on AdultFriendFinder. She was gone. Send an email asking what happened and got no response. I sawher here on IM a few times in the next week, and of course she didn't chat. Tried the phone number twice again and got the same older woman who didn't know anyone by the gal's name. About a year later I was telling that story to a local friend here and he asked who she was. When I gave her handle here, he said "Oh, I've heard of her, she and her hubby have thrown a few parties. She likes to screw guys around". So live and learn. I make it a point to get an address in advance and ask a few questions about the property that I can check on google maps. I'll also get a phone number which I call right as I leave to confirm. If they don't answer, or if someone else does, the car gets parked. Never had a problem with this procedure. There are waaay too many flakes and fakes here now, and you gotta keep from time wasters.

That sucks, I had the same thing happen, but I had phone conformation, drove 4 hours for nothin, I did stay at a very Nice Hotel though. in a Pirate themed room

Being off and on here for 15 yrs, have made some great friends and occasional playmates. Had my share of fakes and flakes. Men go thru that as well. If you changed your mind about meeting, you could call and say that, or "cold feet"! Most ppl going to understand.

This happened to us in August. He texted about the time he should have arrived. It was his second time doing this so he's now blocked; too bad for him.
