Dealing with the Crazy
Dealing with the Crazy I try to put myself in the shoes of my fellow humans. I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. You know that walk a mile in another's moccasins thing. But sometimes you just can't do it. My , bless her heart, is giving sweet natured woman. Thinks everyone is fine and upstanding. She will quite literally give someone her last dime. I have seen more than one person take advantage of her nature. Now she calls me mean and hard. Even says I'm worst that the Grinch and I'm ok with that assessment. However, I judge or perhaps I reserve judgement before giving my time and heart to people. I mean come on!! NO ONE should let themselves be stepped on and bled dry both emotional and physically. My darling , is now fleeing the state. Heading north to get away from someone she gave her heart, time and money to. This nutcase has be holding her basically hostage. And she has finally managed to escape. The question I would put forth is why? Why do people put up with others that do not show respect or kindness? Why do people not treat others the way that all living beings should be treated. How is holding someone hostage in their own home showing love and respect? I can only hope that she has learned from this situation. That its ok to be a wee bit hard. A wee bit distant. Don't show your underbelly to the first person you meet. Because they may not be as kind as you are. You have to learn to Deal with the Crazy. And more importantly you have to learn to recognize the Crazy!! Just my rambling and my way of dealing with separation from the only . Food for thought. |

Really sorry to hear that McWitchster. Is it sometimes easier to convince yourself that everything is okay, it will come good, rather than face the harsh reality that escape is the only real option? I have a very good friend who faced the same thing, but was quicker to act. When he tried to lock her in the house during the day, she climbed out of the window and took a bus from FLA to family in NJ. She's never looked back since. I hope it works out for your girl m'dear!

I hope some day soon that your daughter recognizes the tremendous character strength that her mother has, if she she hasn't already.

I have a daughter that went through the same similar thing. She finally divorced him. Start a new life again. Hart breaking to see our children go through things like this.
