What to do? Hi there, I was just wondering if I could get some advice? I have been on this site for a few months now and see that you are all very knowledgeable so I will ask you, ..how do you build up the courage to go out in public and not feel terrified every time someone looks at you sideways? Is it best to be accompanied or to just go to the shops anonymously? I love being me and am a normal happy person, I would just like to be a bit more adventurous. Thank you in advance for your help and I look forward to hearing your advice. xx Jenny  |

Jenny those initial steps out are always the hardest, but once you are out it is a great big wonderful world! You might consider easing into it by having someone with you initially to help bolster your confidence. Just remember to hold your head up and smile. Don't let yourself become overly self conscious if others look at you...they probably are thinking that is a very attractive woman!  [Everything changed when I went from Why to Why Not!

As the lady says, the first step is the difficult one. Whilst the Taxi club was seedy, it was always a safe place to go as an initial step. I'm not in that scene anymore, so can't advise as to where the girls go now. Thinking cap must go on.

If you have confidence people notice that and obtain feedback from that. It's sort of like going to an interview for a job only this interview is about your confidence to venture forward......hope this helps.

You are so beautiful that people will just look at you and say wow she is beautiful. The guys will be tripping over their tongues and the girls will be a bit green with envy. Be your self be happy and don't sweat the thoughts of people who are incapable of thinking.

I would try little trips , to the grocery store in the evening, then during the day, the first trip is the hardest. after that just be yourself. Let others see your beauty.

Hey Jennifer ...hoping you have worked your beautiful way thru this difficulty ....I can only guess at the feelings you've experienced with this issue. I have experienced similar feeling, just through lifestyle choices and then getting it together, however thinking to myself that I had (in the eyes of other's 16 heads on my shoulders!!! lol It took time and needing to check the mirror regularly 2 count the no. of heads there presently were attached (lol)... You're so so beautiful and equally brave and gutsy girl ..... It may also have a lot to with self-talk, ie need to continually reinforce 2 yourself what a lovely person you are...positive affirmations. Another thing.....Who / What do you believe they are looking at baby....may not be a negative . Also try this ..../it is really powerful, practical and useful...say it quietly ova n ova a few times, gently, whilst you're absorbing the meaning{=} and feeling of the words..."I learn what I believe as I hear myself speak"...please would love to know how you're doing with this beautiful Jennifer xxoo JeffX {=}{=}{=}
