NFL Picks – Divisional Playoff Games

All of these games are rematches. However, I think a few of the outcomes might be different. Unfortunately it looks like we may be headed for a Super Bowl with the 2 teams I despise the most. If that is the case a 0 – 0 tie is what I will hope for if that happens.

2 out of 4

Rematch of week 6 game – the Seahawks won in Seattle 26-24 where they seem to have a very good home field advantage. Both teams were in average to poor divisions this year. Most of Seattle’s opponents were under performing teams. Atlanta had a similar schedule and won against a few good teams, but lost when they shouldn’t have. They seem to have been a sleeper team this year flying mostly under the radar. This will probably be a close game.
Seattle (11-5-1) at Atlanta (11-5) - Falcons

Rematch of week 3 game – the patsies won in Foxboro 27-0. Weather is expected to be cold and foggy, I wonder if the “cold” will affect the balls. I would love for Houston to take out the patsies but that isn’t a realistic probability. The QBs are vastly different even if the coaching styles are similar. The outcome . . .
Houston (10-7) at New England (14-2) - patsies

Rematch of week 6 game – the turds won in Green Bay 30-16. The Pack played some good teams and has AR who is a formidable weapon. But, Jordy Nelson has rib damage and is out; when the Pack was without him they did not play well. The turds had some good opponents too and have 2 impressive rookies on offence.
Green Bay (11-6) at Dallas (13-3) - cowturds

Rematch of week 4 game – the Steelers won in Pittsburgh 43-14. I doubt this game will be as lopsided. KC had a fairly easy season and Pittsburgh was in a relatively soft division. The weather (ice storm predicted) has already caused the schedule to be changed. But the home factor seems to be with KC in this game given the noise that can be generated at Arrowhead. Big Ben hobbled away from the wild card game, but he has played hurt before – it just depends on how hurt he really is.
Pittsburgh (12-5) at Kansas City (12-4) - Chiefs

I would prefer the Pack to win but the turds are strong. Packers v KC or Pitt would be my preference.

My feeling is you're 3 out of 4. Seahawks destroy Atlanta, otherwise, you're dead-on. Even down to your super-bowl picks. I can even agree that they are the 2 teams I least want to see. If it turns out that way, I actually might ignore the game this year.
Hawks don't seem to be as strong as they have been. The SB would be not very interesting for me either. I would watch for the party aspect of it.

Turns out 'Seahawk' is another name for the Osprey, a predatory bird that lives near lakes, rivers, and other bodies of water. It is not a sea-eagle, but is instead a large raptor that survives on a primary diet of fish. I don't know what species of falcon the Atlanta Falcons are, but can rest assured that they share the same need for speed that their namesake does.
No surprise you focused on this game. The Seahawks were a much stronger team in 2013.

Thanks for the reminder. It is probably the closest of the 4 games.

My gut says the Pack pulls it out. I think the loss of Nelson is far less key than it was last year. Adams and Cobb are both getting separation, Allison is starting to bloom and having Cook as a true threat at tight end changes the picture a lot.
I hope the Pack wins, but the cowturds are strong again.

The Steelers are the favorite, but I doubt the Cheifs will tank like the earlier game.
