Half Moon Bay
Half Moon Bay Tonight was a wonderful Thursday! Did you see the full moon? With our amazingly clear skies the moon was very big and bright! I love looking at the moon, it is beautiful! I started at the airport and waited a little over an hour, that is a little long but hear the traffic in the city was really bad plus I was hungry. I had a hard time waking up this morning so I didn’t have time to eat before I left for work. Makes for a very long day when I do not eat before I leave. My first ride was from SFO to Burlingame, that is a short (a short is if you can drop off the customer and be back at the airport in less than 30 minutes, you can move to the front of the line) I struggle making shorts because I drive like a normal person, not speed and drive like a crazy person. The guy was nice and gave me a good tip. After I made my short I picked up a guy with a TON of luggage. He wanted to go to Berkeley, that is a good ride. He was a nice guy but he wanted to listen to his podcasts. Sounded great to me, so it was a quiet ride. He was also a great tipper! A few more small rides in the city and then I was flagged at a ritzy hotel by the doorman for a guy with suitcases. I thought, airport or another hotel. The doorman said Half Moon Bay! That is a meter and a half ride out of the city! GREAT ride! The customer gave me the address of the hotel he was going to in Half Moon Bay, much nicer resort than where he was just at. I told him that it was meter and a half and about how much it was going to cost him. He was okay with it, He prompted said, he was tired and needed to sleep. I drove all the way to Half Moon Bay and he slept. Fun ride! I love all the twists and turns of the road from 280 to HMB. Funny thing my GPS said “Go straight for 11 miles” I almost laughed out loud at that! At that point the road winds around the mountain. No straight there at all! Made it to his resort with no problems and dropped him off. Okay tipper but what the heck, it was an awesome ride! At this point I had made more than I had the past two nights but it was too early to quit so I went back into the city and picked up a few more people. The gamer convention brought a lot of people out tonight. I picked up a group of 4 guys who were here from Iceland. They were all very nice and polite. They asked about our weather. It was a beautiful sunny 75 degrees in the city today. I said we average about 70 most of the year. They asked about the hottest it gets and the coldest it gets. We talked about places that they have seen since being in the city and places they should visit. I love to give advice for places to go and see in my wonderful city! Not much happened after that, except I picked up two guys who smelled so bad! They smelled like someone had pooped in their pants plus body odor. Gross! Smells bother me so much! I hate the smell of smokers, of any kind. Those e-cigs or vapor cigs smell very badly and I have heard they are just as bad as regular cigs. Gross. The smell of pot, GROSS! It makes me nauseated just thinking about the smell! Okay, I am happy none of the other taxi drivers who use my taxi smoke or smell bad. Tomorrow is Friday! I am so excited! I cannot wait to see what it holds! Should be a fun night! I just need to stock up on drinks. Thanks again for reading! Thank you very much for reading my blog! I love you very much! |

I missed the full moon but I'm waiting for the eclipse! I would make a terrible taxi driver. I'd get nervous on the long drives as I'm not happy if I'm out of my comfort zone.
