 Open relationship...They are perfect for a couple that requires external motivational energy. An easy arousal from a new energy where you can show off and share and never feel like your missing something. But they still want the stability of never feeling alone. The comfort and love of a home kiss, security of a calm and a connected resting spot before the next big adventure! I have always admired the strength of their connection, the "trust" of each others emotions beyond physical contact.
Most people do not have that "trust" in their relationship. Love needs to be proven and sex for some is given as a reward. Take that reward away and the lose of control, lack of "trust"...and the wheels on the bus fall off.
I agree though...it takes a special breed of people to "happily" maintain it.

 our rules...

We must always tell each other who we are with and where.

No overnight stays unless previously agreed upon.

No lying.

If one of us says no then it doesn't happen, no exceptions.

No fucking someone more than each other.

Working so far.
