Glad you like them. I have a 68 Charger with a huge back seat that has never been used for parking. Well not that I know of!

I have a 55 Customline - similar to the blue Vicky in the pic. Mine is a "work in progress". When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

author51 replies on 7/17/2015 2:05 pm: Oh you lucky guy.How long have you had it and how long has the restoration taken so far? Well, like any car story it is long and involved. So first off it is/was an “emotional” purchase, partly because it is a similar car to what my dad drove when I was a kid. I was able to get it down from the original asking of $5500 to $3000 – longish story, ask if you wanna know. That was in 2011 – so it is an ongoing thing. After some easy work it runs really good now. But (there’s always a but) since I can’t drive it as often as I want it tends to sit. So now it needs a battery – 6 volt and those cost a fortune. It is in rough shape, really needs a full body off resto but I don’t have the space or funds for that. The paint (an eggplant kind of color) is very good but the prep was so-so – so I don’t plan on doing anything with the body. Well, maybe a silver 2 tone over the top. What I want to build is a “resto-mod”; I’ll presume you know what that is (if not feel free to ask). It will never be a 100-point restoration because it isn’t nearly worth as much as a Vicky, and mine is a 4 door. I do have some pretty neat things planned for it; don’t want to bore you with details or blog hog – unless you wanna know. But there is one important upgrade I want to do – front disc brakes. But I can’t figure the part (factory part hopefully) to adapt a Fairmont front to the Customline ball joint. Since this is a sex site . . . the back seat would be GREAT for submarine races. When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.
