The Stones tongue was a hoot for me the first time I saw it on you in a photo- clever and sexy. I do not have any but it has been contemplated. I know if I get one, my physician will go into shock (Virtual Symposium Group) use Virtual Symposium Group

I have a phobia about needles so no tattoos for me. There is nothing wrong with having tattoos and a lot of them are very tasteful to look at. Though some people do go over the top. “For a moment, nothing happened. The only tats that have ever adorned my body have been the stick on kind! I'm not bothered by tats.......unless the body is covered by them!

Never been a huge fan of them. I don't mind them if they're done well (I quite like your Canadian flag) but when you get full sleeves or face tattoos that's a huge turn off for me. However some of the ones that have gone wrong can be a right laugh. Something small and discreet is fine, but then it's not my body they are going on so what's it to me?

Nope, I've never been inked. Unless you count writing on your arm as a kid with a ballpoint pen? I've been with many lovers, that have Tats. From the run of the mill type tats like braided wire inked on their upper bicep, to one stunning red head who like you had her name tattooed on her lower back, as well as a rose bud on her breast. Ah, fond memories! Hearts and flowers aside, I think the reason I never took the plunge and got one myself was for the main reason that I could never choose what type of tattoo I could live with for the rest of my life. I almost got one while I was dating a woman, she herself had several and sort of pushed me along till I agreed to check out the artist at one of our local parlors. ( think we have a total of sixteen places in the area now.) Anyhow, while there, I opted for a Dragon , not my first choice as the style I wanted was the medieval fire breathing type, but the only thing available was the Chinese New Year Type of design. Then the artist hit me with the price tag...Over $200. Well that sort of put the kibosh on that. It's one thing to get something you like and pay a hefty price tag for it and all together another thing to get something your not really that keen on and do the same. In the end, after saying no to my ladies suggestion of getting her name inked on my chest. Wouldn't that have been great? I mean really, where was I gonna find another woman with the same name after we broke up. ( And we did not too long after that) Ah well, I guess to sum it up Is I think Tattoo's can be cool, and great for some. As for me I'll admire all that art, rather then getting some myself.

I have a total of five tats.... My first one was at the age of 35 (a small red rose, above my ankle), not long after my first daughter (after four sons). The second is a tat on the side of my neck of a butterfly, the third is on my lower calf, also of a butterfly (a favorite symbol of mine), the fourth is the American flag (on my outer forearm), in the shape of a heart, and was done a few months after 9-11, as a symbol or tribute to my heart being with our country in it's sorrow. The fifth and most likely last is a symbol for loyalty (something very important to me). I actually got that last one with my 22 yr. old daughter...she got a semi colon tat that day. For those that don't know the significance of that, it represents mental health struggles and the importance of suicide prevention. I most likely won't get any more, but haven't totally ruled it out....lol Mine are visible depending on what I'm wearing (long clothes-can't see them) and the one on my neck depends on hair up or hair down...lol I don't mind tattoos on a lover, although tasteful is best for me. Not sure how I would feel if the whole body was covered.....a bit much I think. I also have my nose pierced...which I got at the age of 50....(and multiples on my ears), but no private parts are pierced.....lol [image] Be Honest..Be Sincere...Be REAL

Hi Joy. Thanks for posting this one. I always say "live and let live" but, for me... the thought of having a tattoo on my body is not appealing... It's not something I go out of my way to search for with people... I don't mind it if they do have tats... It's just not for me... I don't contemplate getting inked... I do want to on a world wide tour... I want to attack my "bucket" list... I want to see things I've only read about... I want to go to that far away place and breathe in slowly and then let out a long sigh... so that I can capture that moment for the rest of my life... like when I stood beneath the Sistine chapel... in wonderment... or when I went to the Louvre and witnessed the "Mona Lisa" and the "Venus de Milo"... these are memories that are etched in the recesses of this mind... they bring a peace and happiness to me... but, that's just me... I went to the Kimbell museum this past weekend to see an exhibit of impressionist paintings... I stopped to smell the roses... I compared the works of one painter to another... as if I have the capacity to do that... but, the program prompted you to do so... so I did... well... that's what this post made me think of... just sayin'... here's food for thought... Daniel Johnston - "Joy Without Pleasure" When I was a little kid And all the people, they looked big I never exactly understood How to tell the tree from the wood Joy without pleasure Ain't no fun, ain't no fun at all Joy without pleasure Ain't no fun, ain't no fun at all My Mama, she took me aside one day She said "you better have fun while you play" Cause someday you'll wake up and you'll be old And all of your youth will be gone away And you'll work in a factory and earn your pay And your fingers will rot and your mind will decay You'll be happy, so happy, with your family and house But you'll never, you'll never enjoy yourself Joy without pleasure Ain't no fun, ain't no fun at all Joy without pleasure Ain't no… To leave private messages, please use my confidential mailbox at my blog: Good luck!!!

No ink on this body,,,I have always said " I look good enough without tattoos" LOL That is what I say but only the observer could tell me if that was true. I am fine with other people wearing ink in any amount on their body. For me this is one of those non-opinion items that is not worth having an opinion on. You like, they like that is Great!

Have you been inked and if so do they hold special meaning to you? I have... and they do. Thoughts from the Garden...

Have you been inked and if so do they hold special meaning to you? Yes. I have two and they both have special meaning to me. Do you like when people cover their entire body with them or prefer a few which are hidden when clothed? For me it doesn't matter. I just think that it is sensible to have them placed so you can cover them up if necessary. What age were you when you first got inked? 19
