I rarely drink. I can't remember the last time I even had a beer. The last time I got spinning from drinking was at a New Years Eve Swinger party 2011/2012. Weed and half a glass of Champagne do not mix. I didn't get sick, but I should have left the Champagne alone. Just the same, it made me the subject of discussion for the night and by morning I had 4 new dates!

I'm not much of an alcohol drinker and I've never had a martini....lol Never been to Morton's, but love a good steak! As to the last time I had too much to drink, that would be about five years ago at my adult son's birthday party thrown by his then girlfriend. I was drinking mostly wine, but had a few shots of something I have no memory of....lol I paid for it dearly that night, and most of the whole next day! I think I stayed in bed trying to sleep off and on, ate nothing until abut 9:00 pm that next night when I started to feel half way human again! I did drink some wine with my adult daughter about three months ago, but only got a light buzz, since I had to go to work later that night. Hope your friend is feeling better....... Never have been to a Mortin's Steakhouse..in fact this is the first time I have heard of the franchise. Was it last summer or the summer before that I had too many,,,was drinking beer and moonshine that had cherries soaking in the booze, ate a few of those cherries too. I use to smoke a little funny stuff when I was young and folks were passing that around too...I part took of that too...oops...left the outdoor party group for a tree to kneel behind...had a lot of trouble walking! once home I hung in the bathroom for the "just in case" item for a while. I think the time before when I almost got that way was 10 years before that time. Went outside to let the winter wind sober me that night. It works, face the wind and embrace it! Oh, I have not tasted a Martini either

I have not had a Martini since 1974 and last time I had too much was my best friends first bachelors party. looks like a great place to eat but I'm afraid I would need to win the lottery to eat there. So nice to be insane; no one asks you to explain.

Have you been to Morton's Steakhouse as they are a franchise known all around the world? We don't have one...first time I've heard of them!! I think the last time I over-indulged was about 6 years ago, a family/friends weekend away. Tequila shots. Maybe some vodka and cranberry juice...others were mixing the drinks, and I don't remember what I drank, lol. I did not get sick, and the hangover wasn't bad, I was drinking water. I think the last martini I had was at an office Christmas dinner, it was a toasted marshmallow martini, I think. Hm. Come to think of it, I over indulged on that occasion as well, lol. Yes, I've been to Morton's... very nice... we also have "Three Forks" and "Del Frisco's"; "Ruth's Chris".... we have many options down here in god's country... my drink limit has been two... regardless of my choice... reminded me of this one... Sounds like you had a dinner ordered that would have been right down my alley, to bad you didnt get to enjoy it! I am no longer a drinker, I sure was back about 45 years ago tho, and once married, going out to drink was no longer in the budget besides anniversarys. In the winter of '86, I was diagnosed with gout, and while I control that with meds basically, alcohol makes those meds quit working, and the pain just isnt worth it.

There's a Morton's In San Jose about 2 blocks from the hotel that the visiting teams stay. It's funny to see them take a taxi there when they could easily walk. Last time I had a martini was when I was in NY for our hockey fan convention. Last time I had too many? It's been a while.

I was thinking "on just 3 drinks?", but then I was surprised to read on and find out that the evening's festivities included dinner at such a late hour, after drinks. And also how tiny you are. Now I understand why you were concerned about having a hangover the next morning. It really shocks me to think that this all-expenses paid night out didn't include a sit-down dinner at the Intercontinental, with the cocktail party preceding it - especially when I see that they have a 5-diamond restaurant rating. I have never eaten at a Morton's Steakhouse, and was unaware that martinis are ever served in an any way, other than stirred. I lead such a sheltered life.
