I cant agree more as a country we relay on to much foreign trade and investment. Its going to take a lot to get this country back on its feet, now is the time to be Canadian stand up and look after our fellow Canadian

Not Canadian but would not mind spending a nice amount of time up there. Been just about everywhere else except to the North which is not far at all from me. My only issue is, Canada has so many great Places I am not sure where to start!!

And I Really Like Canadians!!

Truth our dear friend Canada Strong. For the most part love buying local and only buy elsewhere if we have to. Even if we have to wait a bit to receive what we are buying, we will wait as patience is a virtue and the truth like you have stated Joy, is to keep it local or Canadian in our household. XXO Mmmmmmmm Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrfect Awroooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Meoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooows Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrr.

- As a Flori-duh resident, we have the vacation desitination in our own backyard; I never thought I'd say it, but I do look forward to going back to the theme parks once this is all over and the conditions are controlled enough to make being there safe enough. For far too long (really, just two months), I took those places for granted, and now I want to go back and get away for awhile.

I say this as there is apparently a possible new misery on the ocean front - a storm system with the potential to become something else is churning out in the Atlantic - yes, that is sure to bring 2020 further along the title of "Downer of a Year..."

Yah us...blah...

M~

JOY I have only visited Canada 3 times, just for overnights or short 2 day stopovers when I was in the Air Force, back in the late 60's. I always wanted to see more of your beautiful country, but that is sadly now looking unlikely.

Shop local and support your local bars and restaurants by ordering takeout.
I love the license plate. I always have to look at the comments for your last picture. It is always something surprising or delightful.... Joyful

I agree we should all support our local economies and personally I feel we all have so many places to explore in our own vicinity, I have over 30 historic places within a few miles radius and due to climate damage am not sure that I can ever justify getting on a plane again. One thing I hope that people will remember is the developing nations who often rely on tourism and often they are protecting various endangered species from extinction with those proceeds and maybe contribute to well established charities with some of the money they may have spent on travel, lets face it health care is a chin and where that chain is weak only the brave or foolish are going to want to visit those countries.

If nothing else, this whole crisis should serve to educate many on just how interconnected we all really are, and how that is both good, and bad.

So I shouldn't contemplate a northern blogger visit then?

    Quoting  :

If my memory serves me correctly, the first overnight was at the military base in Goose Bay, Labrador and the others all in the Gander Hotel, Newfoundland. Oh and I almost forgot 2 hours sat on the tarmac at Montreal Dorval Airport. Such a Jet setting life I led xoxoxo

Sadly, a lot of local shops and business's have closed for good over here. Most were struggling even before the outbreak of Covid-19.

I totally agree we each should boost our own economy after this devastation
Sadly, New York with its over #350000 cases and over 22,000 deaths have decided to come to Maine to get away from it all and bring COVID with them. I am appalled at the lack of consideration in the stores( no masks, no 6 foot rule) and they sure as heel are not doing our state requested 14 day quarantine Sure we can use their dollars but at what price? And the Hot Bed next door is going to be next. They should be bolstering their home state for now and let the rest of the country breathe and re-open as they feel fit
