 The first quote was my mantra during my corporate career. The second one reminds me of:
“ Always have your feet firmly planted on the ground and stay humble. Don’t look down on others, no matter how less well-off they appear. Remember, the one you look down on today might be the person you have to look up to tomorrow. Such is life! ”

 I can also attest that paying it forward with kindness and respect is not just about trying to soften the landing for our inevitable comeuppance. You often harvest their dividends even while still in ascension.

Kindness and respect are always the better choices.
