I know this is a week or so old, but felt a driving compelling symphony of voices commanding me to comment on this article ... though I should do it also on the sources website.

MKUltra does not belong in this list it is not like the others as it was a whole government funded program that spanned many many experiments and protocols for run by many different styles of shrinks.

If you have netflix I really suggest watching the mini-series 'Wormwood' about the murder of one of their agents who was protesting against chemical warfare and the decade or more it took to bring to trial.

when it was brought to trial the only records that were subpoenaed and brought before the senate was 2 boxes of pay records that were themselves heavily redacted. That means that unknown amounts were destroyed ... and it was only by mistake two boxes survived.

The supposed profile of the resarchers involved in this program were PHD shrinks who worked most often in institutions, college, prison, military. You can find an old documentary online called 'Badtrip to Edgewood' about military research using drugs. The only group of people able to sue over military induced damages besides the Tuskegee airmen.

I'd always considered that if this was the profile then Timoty Leary had to be MKUltra, but he supposedly was fired from Harvard over the personal use (not the testing) and later went to prison. Still while in prison he wrote a few books then broke out then after being caught again -lost his supposed street cred for ratting out some LSD sources.

Well I guess a few years back the guys behind the gnostic media podcast took the redacted pay records and, according to them, combed the records of major colleges .. they found the matching documents of who these guys were ... and surprise surprise they were all the darlings of the psychedelic movement from the 60s to the 90s. All the heavy hitters from Leary and Alport, to McKenna, Wasson, and going all the way back to Aldous Huxley. It is known that Marshall McLuhan was an intelligence agent.

So what does this imply? Well if you want to have and own the manuals for mind control via the use of drugs and 'happenings' and know how it is done: The Manuals that Leary wrote are pretty much it ... though today more sophisticated with cyber-mimetics and neural networks. The two main texts being 'the psychedelic experience' and 'the exo-psychology' (that one has a new name that slips my mind at the moment.

What else does it mean ... that the roots of the psychedelic movement lie in the same bed as the torture of many by the use of hypnosis, brain implants, stazi style surveillance, and regular physical torture. I'd surmise that the results of the psychedelic branch was so successful in creating mind controlled persons that an effort was made to divorce it from the other studies and give it more anti-governmental trappings ... If so this kind of maneuver represents a very dialectical approach to mitigating and spreading this method.

Critics like Nader and Hightower, and other modern thinkers and journalists, of what in the USA are considered extreme left, who claim that there is one system under the false two party system. There is ... the intelligence community who continue to run the country with zero oversight from elected officials. But yeah I know, trump bad too.
