The Other Half Bar - Perth Amboy, NJ

Okay this is going to be such a long shot.

One of the first Gay/Lesbian Bars I've ever been to was in Perth Amboy, NJ called The Other Half.

I used to hang out there around '81 / '82ish. This bar had the most fun down-to-earth people I've ever met.
Missing those days and this place. I would so love to hear from anyone that's ever been there.

Thinking let me at least try a blog, ya never know...

Believe it or not, I remember that place, Perth Amboy was a new experience for me back in the late 70's, I worked on the chemical spill on the Arthur Kill back then, you might remember it ?

I reckon so

I remember that chemical spill very well. I grew up in Edison. Moved into NYC around 80ish and went back to that area of NJ often.

Yep, The Other Half was just your typical Jersey type of bar back in those days.
Thank you for reading and the comment.

Lol, the other half was anything but typical.

I reckon so

I felt very much at home there. The guy that introduced me to the Other Side I met at a bar in Fords called The Flat Iron (a local hang out). Late 70's I used to hang out at a bar called Sams also in Fords.
