A Halloween Story . . . A Halloween Tale
There was once a long long time ago in a far far away place deep in the darkest of forest there was the bravest of knight's traveling on his way home. Upon his , he sadly made his way back to his castle. He was the loneliest of knight's for he had not a woman to love. And his heart was broken.
As he sat slumped in his saddle riding his through the dark forest there appeared before him a glowing light. And as he drew closer he saw that it was a woman. He drew closer and closer. He saw that it was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen in his life. His heart rose to such heights seeing her. When he finally came upon her she said come with me into the night. Something deep within him told him he would be making the biggest mistake of his life and that he should turn away or he shall surely perish. But she was so beautiful he could not resist her temptation. He had to follow her into the darkness of night.
There was no moon there were no stars in the sky only the glow of the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. It was as if she had cast a spell upon him. It was as if she had captured his very soul and was helpless in her grasp. So he abandoned his and followed her into the darkest night.
Soon they arrive at a clearing where a small Cottage laid. She invited him in. He could not stop himself he had to follow. All appeared normal. A fireplace and all the accommodations of a quaint little cottage. But there was this large boiling cauldron.
She said it was the meal she had been preparing for him. This sent a cold chill through him even the bravest of knights. She scooped out a bowl of the most delicious stew he had ever smelled. She said won't you please join me? The smell of the stew intoxicated him. He could not resist. He was hypnotized into a hunger that could not be satisfied. And he ate of the stew. And fell into a deep sleep . . .
