**Top Fans**

Ok so I had this subject as my status for a little bit but I thought it would be a much better blog topic.

My question originally was "Why are most of my top fans random people who have never messaged me on tried to talk to me?"

So to go along with that and explain a little further...I don't see why you wouldn't put in the effort to get to know someone if you are fond enough of them to want to be their top fan. Right? At least say hello or something. Why do people want nothing more then for you to be a picture on their own page or a "trophy" on their wall?

Now more of my question is this... Why are the people you actually talk to on a regular basis not top fans? I mean, wouldn't you think those would be the people who were genuine top fans of yours? I have a couple top fans that are truly friends and people I talk to on a regular basis but most are not.

I guess maybe my thinking is different then most...seems to be the case on here in general for me lol. But I would love to hear all of your thoughts and opinions!

 It's a good question. I suspect it is a way of getting your attention without being a paying member. It used to be that non-paying members could not start a message but respond. Now, no man can open a message, let alone respond without dropping cash. Even IM message from non-payers get lower priority than paying (paying get delivered first). Whether you agree or disagree, that is the policy. From this perspective, why be a top fan if the person already has your attention?

 I agree with you. And I wish it could be that way. The concept of "fans" and "top fans" is a great one. The "hotlist" and "flirt" functions are pretty great ideas too. If they could be used as intended, which I think is how you describe them, they would really help build community here and encourage communication.

Unfortunately I have to agree with a lot of what else has been said here. Because of the pay structure here a lot of what has been built never quite lives up to its full potential. Unpaid members have to get creative using these tools to communicate and express their interest in you. In doing so they sort of, but not quite, use the function as it was intended. The purpose then gets a little blurry.

Now that my account has been fixed I am going back to send messages where I couldn't before. Including with you....see your inbox.

 I've had the same thing with one top fan. No communication. Another top fan messages me daily. But it does drive you a little crazy when a top fan is not willing to write anything after going to the trouble.

 Hi Cutie (or Hi Beautiful). I think it would be better if the site allowed a member only so many Top Fan selections and not have a bidding war. Someone struggling to find a match without a great deal of cash may never get to be a top fan; however, someone with a lot of cash can be a top fan of a lot of people. Which would be better? I do not know. I fall somewhere in between. I am not as rich as the guy who founded Microsoft, but I do not see getting in a bidding war. I am older and really desire to have sex, but I also like looking at beautiful women.

I like to talk (a lot), but not as much as I like sex. I continually send out messages and IM (which rarely works) with almost no response. The way I see it is that a man sends out numerous messages and gets a rare response. A woman gets a ton of messages and responds very selectively.

 Hello darling,
I have put in bids in the past but not without a message. Now I just message the person because my intent is to reach you and not offend you.

As a seasoned gentleman looking to meet new friends and find a lady to spend time with for many reasons, not just physical pleasure. I long to find a lady that will respond to intellectual stimulation as well as physical. Thats hard to find these days!!!!!
