Healing

So this process is slooww. Apparently the nerves only grow 1 mm a month. Their giving me a year. What I don't get back by then I won't. I'm currently walking with a<b> cane. </font></b>do walk around the house without the<b> cane </font></b>but not comfortable out yet without it.
I still can't write well. I can hold a pen and very slowly write clearly. I'm also driving short distances....FREEDOM.
Getting dress is comedy relief sometimes. As well as cooking. My right side is weaker and my right hand isn't strong enough to cut somethings. cAn't open a tight bottle or jar.
On the bright side I'm getting house ready for my retirement years. I've applied for my Social Security and disability.
And I've appreciated all the great encouragement that I've received. i do have my dark days but they getting less and less as I get more independance and acceptance of my new reality.

By the way Insurance companies are the devil!

 I hope you make a full recovery. Saw the photos of costa rica, it is a great place. I got to spend a week there a few years ago. Think about places like that when you are low, hopefully they will bring you a smile.

Thank you very much. Yes I'm glad I have those memories. My regret is I had to postpone my trip to Cuba because trump has stopped traveling there now
