Interesting analysis of kink VS gentleman... Or gentleman vs kink, because that's what I was thinking about - exactly! I'm on another site, but I haven't devoted any time to it. This one is preoccuping most of my energy at this time and, at the very least - I'm having fun. Ask me in three months how I feel. First of the weather. I'm admitted a hot weather fan, love the beach. I'm not a fan of cold weather, can die from exposure in anything under 60 degrees for more than 20 minutes. But I am the proverbial cow about this time of year. Always thinking, "you know a cold snap right now would be nice". Then the first day of cold hits, i'm loving it. Then after about a day or two, I'm back to wanting summer. Luckily I live in South Texas, where we have two seasons. Summer and Not Summer, Not summer only lasts about 5 months. I was on the match site when I first got divorced. I met some ladies on there, but to be honest, I actually find that the women I meet on here are more honest. I know that goes against the standard, everyone on here is a fake, but it's just my experience. By the way, I've been what I refer to as happily divorced for 14 years as of 8/15. I see some of the same men here on the other sites. I never joined them, I just look. What I wonder is if they have a different expectation on the so called vanilla site. Or will they actually date there as opposed to just hook up here. Will they be more polite there? Let me know how that goes.

From what I've heard from a few women I've met on this site is that quite a few of the men here are there too. lol The only difference is they have clothes on in their photos, and sprinkle their written part with roses. Thoughts from the Garden...

I am glad to hear you are figuring things out, even more so that you have a great potential possibility coming up. I would question the guy you met. He sounds as if he is hiding something (by what you have said) Anywho, I have tried different sites here and there. Usually with little luck. Partly because I do not want to pay just to be able to try and talk to someone. Lately I have been thinking I may need to try a non-internet route. That posses issues of where and when but we shall see. Good luck with the search my friend

As always, a great blog. Love your humor and way with words... Not all men are terrible - just most of us  I no longer use traditional dating sites - met a few nice people but as you casually mentioned, like you, i'm not looking for "traditional" any more. I have enough friends, interests, hobbies etc where i interact w/vanilla folks and satisfy that part of my psyche with them. Want something / someone / somebodies different at this stage in my life. I wish you luck in your adventures, be safe.
