Yeah, I saw that on the news. They're kinda cute...if you don't mind your toupee to be very small and mobile...and venomous. I know everyone keeps saying they can't wait for 2020 to be over. Does the end of the year mean all of the crap that's been happening will magically cease? The virus will be gone/cured? The storms and fires will suddenly be over? Nah....I don't think so. lol Pagan  Hmmmm....I know I left that wand around here somewhere!

Nah....I don't think so. lol The election's outcome will probably be decided by the start of the year ... well, maybe not. (FUCK!!) I'm sure the fallout won't roil American society any worse than it already is. But, better to not have to bear witness?Besides, I blame Jon Stewart for this whole fiasco - "I wanna stop doing the TV show, and go fight for 9-11 first-responder health benefits." Yeah, nice job, Dumas (that's a French dumbass).  Because he wasn't there to get some parts of the electorate as fired up as during the previous two campaigns, a few-too-many people didn't quite understand the lay of the political landscape as well as the could have? Jon's a pretty self-effacing guy, so he'd probably think being called a Dumas is funny.  And, I was kinda worried about him having an on-camera stroke during the 2012 campaign because he was rather worked-up at times, so maybe it was for the best he took a break ... for him, anyways ... True, any vaccine will not have 100% effectiveness, and distributing it all around the globe in absolutely not a 2-week task. Would be nice not to have to personally witness the what-the-fuckness of the continuing surge of the second wave, going in on a country near you (which is to say every country) I could go with that. Maybe, by skipping ahead to the beginning of the year, we'll have generally gotten it through our thick collective heads that testing and tracing is what is most needed in the meantime, and have taken substantial, concrete steps to make it much more of a reality - how can you shape a response, at any level of government, if you don't actually know where the virus is? Maybe we've gotten used to, with other serious communicable diseases (well, not the "social" diseases), that we can make assumptions about where it is in a population, while this one does a much better job of being the mole in whack-a-mole? If only you could re-direct the hurricanes, in order to put out the fires ... it sounds like such a simple solution ... -- allgud69xxx Yeah ... that's right ... I went there .. 2020 has been a bit too much for my taste. I actually had vacations planned for goodness sakes. And you're right that there is no guarantee that 2021 will be easier. Covid is not leaving us!

It would really suck if it turned out the vaccine had to be new every year, like the flu. The amount of work it would require to manage all of that would be kinda insane. Let's see... So far this year there's been the pandemic, murder hornets, brain eating amoebas, the change shortage, mysterious seeds, and now a killer caterpillar. I think I've become desensitized to 2020.....

Let's see... So far this year there's been the pandemic, murder hornets, brain eating amoebas, the change shortage, mysterious seeds, and now a killer caterpillar. I think I've become desensitized to 2020.....  I hadn't heard about the change shortage (maybe that's a good thing), but ...Perhaps there is a bit of good news about the hornets. I saw a story about scientists in moon-suits plastic-wrapping a tree where they thought the nest-zero was. Apparently the Asian honeybees, who know how to deal with the hornets when the hornets attack their hives, literally use themselves to cover the invader and then all vibrate so hard that the hornet cooks. That's not desensitizing, that's traumatic! (especially for the hornet, I bet)! I think our bees need to go back to school ... (OK, explain to me why the Welcome Back, Kotter theme song just popped into my head) And, hey, the erection ... I mean "election" ... is almost here! It literally feels like it's taken a million years this time ... and only 2 or 3 more months until we know who won, and had the usual requisite law suits, near-armed insurrections, etc., etc.So, maybe, maybe, if we're really lucky, and we each find somebody to give to and get from lots of orgasms, we'll be able to check two things off the list by the end of the year.
