No one really ever asks the two most important questions of life:
Have you found joy in your life?
Have you given joy to others?

I am sorry your feeling this way my friend, and you know I have been here for many years and sometimes feel this way myself. I take breaks periodically as I have to keep my self sane..lol.. This place can be so addicting, and if it weren't for moderating and blogging I don't even know if I would stay. I do enjoy chatting with people as I don't get a lot of that at home. I hope you have a wonderful day my friend..

Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

It isn't about what I lack but what I like.
What I like others lack but this
isn't a site for old men!

Using more than all the road!

Hey Wonderful,
I’m going with Lennon on this one.
“When I was younger they gave me a piece of paper and a pencil and asked me to write down what I wanted to be when I grow up. I wrote happy and they told me that I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them that they didn’t understand life.”
You’ve got to make your own happiness in this world, half the problem is that life has changed but we haven’t, we tend to stick to the rules of how life was during the twentieth century, which was after all the American Century, the American Dream had yet to die the horribly slow death that it has in the last two decades. That standard of living doesn’t exist any longer. Change is hard, I know that I don’t enjoy it but it’s inevitable. Sometimes it seems like there’s nothing to look forward to and everything to look back on.
For that I’m going with Kurt Vonnegut,
“People aren’t supposed to look back, it’s not natural, I’m certainly not going to do it anymore.”
Anyhoo, let me wrap this tangent up by just saying it’s the little things in life that matter, I like to think that I’m here to try and connect with like minded people, even if only for a moment, because after all that’s all that life really is, a series of moments. Go seize yours.
Sinfully Yours backpocket13

I think a lot of people wander off of here for one reason or another, frustration with the site, finding a relationship away from here, or just burn out. Having been gone for almost six years I'm not sure why I came back, probably the blogs more than anything.

Being that I’ve been on here for almost 14 years, I guess I’m a lifer?

The first seven years I was actively meeting people and had a decent run. Since then I’ve been in ‘just here to blog’ mode.

Sometimes this is the only interaction I have with the outside world.

OK, slight exaggeration, but sometimes feels like it.

The thing is with me; I've been here so long, I feel like part of the furniture and they have a bench with my name on it!
Monday is the day most of us don't like.

I'm here to see and be seen. To read and be read... To laugh at and laugh with. But mostly, I'm here for the free buffet.
I haven't found it yet, but I'm having quite a bit of fun looking. And I've stumbled upon, a few interesting people, along the way. 😶
I don't trouble myself thinking too much about why I'm here. If I ponder a question, it's more likely to be :What would I be doing, instead of being here? 🤔
This place doesn't interfere with my life at all. I have a wonderful time, outside these walls... 😶

- Over the last few decades, I've noticed while the increase in social interactions has skyrocketed thanks to the social media, at the same time, we've lost touch on how we've exchanged a simple chat. The hunger for closeness and comfort now goes through a keyboard, mouse, and monitor.

Now, human interactions, those connections with others who have similar wants and desires such as yourself are truly hard to come by; when the initial spark is made, the honeymoon period is a nice change of pace from the usual hum drum of our own existence.

But the challenge is also a major difficulty in keeping the fires burning, because it seems only human to slowly grow bored when conversations flat line.

I guess, that's why we return to this place time and time again; it's familiar strangeness is akin to gambling - one big shot keeps us coming around one more time after that.

now to wonder
and to ponder
if a wonder
a void could fill
in words gracious
and through a pill
in love shared
not love broken
so many things
which could be spoken
the first would be
how are thee
and all the rest of life
putting everything to right
so the response to how are thee
would be the simple (complex) short(lengthy) state of "happy"

A lady sitting on a bench - sometimes I´m too shy and pass by.

Sometimes I ask her, whether I can sit there on the other end in silence.

Sometimes I start a conversation, e.g. about life like a box of chocolates.

Sometimes I look into her eyes, not saying anything.

Sometimes ...

Simple, and maybe not too pure, I'm attention whore. Ideally that would come from physical interaction with another person (preferably while nekkid) but the blogs fill part of that void.

I love those quotes.

This is my second time here. Originally, about 12 years ago...was active in the blogs, made a couple of great friends, then it just wasn't fulfilling any needs, so I left.

I've been back about one and half years (new user.name, though). I came back to blog...but I've also met a few people in person...and I've made some new friends. (And I remember SmartassWoman's blog from before!)
