Sunday funday

Tangerine columns of afternoon sunlight breach the dim room; their rays given form by the omnipresent second hand smoke. A desk lamp shines on a collection of oodles of doodles.

The sound of a radio broadcast "playing all the classic hits" can be heard over little else. Nostalgia strikes a chord with every strum of each familiar guitar riff, or catchy lyric. Mermories are stories we tell ourselves. Music is the sound people make when they want to be remembered, it's also a nice way to pass all the time under the sun.

Tapping a toe rythmicly in time with each 'old' tune, it's easy to forget one's environment. Articles of clothing are strewn about what little space remains available to be considered a floor. Various books of different sizes, genre, volumes and shapes are piled clumsilly near the walls, any counter space, the shelves. Dishes dot everywhere in stacks of two or three at a time in no particular order, as if they've become decore. This is the room of an 'artist', and it's fuckin disgusting.

Regardless of how many attempts are made in vain to achieve anything resembling a clean environment, it's never fully realised. Having a short attention span means that there's always something else to be done elsewhere before anything can get done at all. Despite the lack of effort on the room's apearence, there's signs that something can actually live here.

Stacks of office paper are everywhere, covered in drawings, sketches, diagrams, and self memo's. Pencils are littered about a desktop, different sizes, different leads, all tools of distraction. Markers, brushes, paints, earasers, are all sharing the same spaces in total disarray. Rolled, and stretched canvases lean against the furniture, there's no bed in sight. A sleeping bag lays in a pile beneath a drafting table.

Several musical instruments stand against walls. A television set sits on a low stand, looking crowded amidst all the junk around it. Scrawling nonsense on a sketchbook, a small town tranny contemplates writing instead. The mind wanders, the world turns, each day a lesson learned.

Do you have any hobbies? Thanks for reading ^.^

First of all, your prose is really beautiful. It flows and paints the exact image you see and it's amazing.

Secondly, are you in my house...my mind? I love it!
