 If you do not have a private mailbox on your blog, you should consider one. Instructions are at [blog BiggLala}. It allows members of any rank to leave a message and you can respond. Maybe not as easy as the message center, but it should work without spending money.

Then maybe hotlist someone that you are interested in. If you mention your blog in your status, they might drop by and leave a message.
