Contacting Standard Members

As a standard member I sometimes find it annoying to receive messages from gold members. Unless those gold members have the enhancement to there account there is no possible way a standard member can read the mail message. Just waisting your time and effort.

The next thing I hate is the way our society dismisses the use of e-mail or IM. I understand it is a means of non personal contact but I for one consider it rude or insensitive not to reply if possible. I also receive mail messages and IM's from members that there is no attraction toward or no interest in meeting but I always try to reply to these individuals anyway. Although, it may not always be possible since standard members are limited in there ability to contact. I personally haven't had enough activity to maintain a gold membership but I do<b> upgrade </font></b>from time to time and during those times it is much easier to reply and converse with other members. Another frustration is when the standard member is able to contact the gold member and the gold member doesn't reply back, that is extremely annoying.

Then my final frustration is members who contact you whether your a gold or standard that is not in your interest selection again is extremely annoying. An example is someone listed as straight being contacted by gay or lesbian. Then say someone or couple wanting a specific gender then getting bombarded with requests from the opposite gender, again very annoying.

Anyway, just my 2 cents. What are the thoughts and comments from my fellow members?
