 I fear that your intuition regarding your silent lover is correct.

Authentic friendship is effortless. The pleasure derived from simply reaching out is amplified when you are given the opportunity to respond and reaffirm that which should go without saying.

Of course, we are all occasionally (perhaps even regularly) overwhelmed by *current events* and communication can become fractured. However one of the virtues of the Digital Age is our capacity to *check in* with a simple 30 seconds of keystrokes on our phones.

Also: having *moved on* from the Dead after my own *psychedelic period* , I thank you for reminding me of the understanding of the Human Comedy their lyrics reveal.
