gold membership?

I do wonder, do people actually for the gold membership ($20/month)? Is it worth it?
I was about delete this account but now that I moved the US, I wonder if it's more popular around here (than in Europe).

My account is extremely restricted (for not being a paying member); and so many incoming<b> messages </font></b>I cannot even read.

 Whether it's worth it or not is subjective, but if you can swing the yearly rate it is an alright deal at $12.95 (or there abouts).

 You could try it for a bit and see if you think it's worth it. You can actually pay with a store gift card (like Walmart, Lowe's, etc). $10 would get you about 9 days and you could see what you think.
