It is a perilous world out there. Your emphasis on authentication is appropriate and commendable. Regarding the use of live facial imagery, security protocols for most devices and appliances are trending that direction as well. So your approach is in step with other security measures. As we know all too well, the Baby Boomer ranks are still filled with Luddites who still struggle with email. So I can appreciate difficulties among some seniors with using a smartphone app to live-stream a face. Other than those who technology has left behind, anyone reluctant (much less unwilling) to make you more comfortable with his/her identify should be given a hard pass. Stay safe!

I agree with massass1963. No nude and face in the same pic. I two have used Live Photo’s except a little different. No specific app required. I will send them a picture of anything silly that I don’t think that can find online and give them a time frame. For example one time I sent one with two fingers on my belly... cuz I misplaced my abs lol. And they sent the same one back. Then I sent them one with my palm out on my belly and they send one back. I try to make sure it is the same belly and within a few minutes. It’s not likely they will find pics of the same person online doing that in a hurry. If they wait until tomorrow to send it we start over with new pics. I have nothing to hide and don’t really care if friends or family know. I just don’t like scammers. Of course who does I suppose... have a safe new year’s.. If you see me. I will see you. If you touch me. I will touch you. If you lick me.. I will melt..

I think "mood swings" may be an understatement for that one!! Another great way to find fakes is just Google search their pictures. It's kind of sad that we need to go through this and that the site isn't more proactive in getting rid of fake and spam accounts. Another good way to have them verify themselves, is have them write your name on a piece of paper and then take a picture of themself with it.

Then there are the ones who have (or are) using images of people who are DEAD. One of which is on here, and is still active after I called them out on their BS. Some people have a pretty hefty set of cajones... and might not even be *male* behind the keyboard.    "Be who you are and say what you feel. HUH we been lifetime on SLS for years and I had no idea they had an app. We had a similar encounter with them a month or so ago. Fake for sure.
