Muff Diving

Muff Diving

Many years ago I worked as a part-time barman in a local hostelry, sadly no longer there, and I found myself working alongside an Austrian language student who attended the local college.

One quiet night behind the bar we found ourselves chatting and during the conversation she asked me if I’d ever been to college. “No,” I replied smartly, “but I did once take a correspondence course in muff diving.”

“Oh,” she said but I could tell from her expression my fast quip had gone over her head, and I put this down to the language barrier and the conversation moved on.

We continued to chat until one of the locals came in, a middle aged family man who was in most nights, and he took up his usual place at the far end of the bar. As my Austrian colleague was nearer she approached the counter and took his order, chatting politely and promptly poured his pint and took his money, rang up the sale and took the appropriate change out of the till.

As she returned to the customer, who had begun to take a mouthful of his lager, I<b> watched </font></b>her lean in and say something to him, and in response he sprayed his drink and began to cough and splutter and then laugh to the bemused Austrian barmaid. Out of earshot, I could only guess what she had asked him, and I confirmed moments later she had indeed asked him the meaning of “muff diving”.

I later explained the joke to her and although red faced she saw the funny side of it and needless to say, we ended up having sex the following weekend and I had much fun feasting upon her deliciously wet and delicate folds.

Thank goodness for the correspondence course!
