I'm sure most of you know how this works, but for those who don't and may want to do it themselves I'll explain: Since you can't message unless you are a gold member this is an easy free way to let other members contact you privately.
Make a blog post and in the options at the bottom, where it says "I want to pre-review..." make sure you select the option "all responses before they show up" that way the comments will all be hidden from other visitors but the owner of the blog will be able to view them meaning you can leave a private message.
So if you can't message and want to say "Hi" to me simply leave a comment on this post, and nobody else will get to see it. Also doing an "ask me anything" game through this, so anything you want to ask comment with the question (which I'll see privately) I'll then post the answers in this blog.
Also for the benefit of those without gold I have posted MY PROFILE in my blog, didn't want to pin it as it is quite long and pushes new stuff a long way down, but clicking this link: MY PROFILE will jump you down to it.
