The Allman Brothers Band

Okay - so I'm slowly taking down some Christmas decorations.

While doing this I have on The Allman Brothers Band (40th Anniversary Concert). Recorded on March 26th, 2009 at the Beacon Theatre in NY

Yes, It's at a level where I can't hear phone or someone knocking at door.

Have run...
"Whipping Post" is now on.

Have a great night...

Seen them in 1975 in Cleveland

Thinking I saw them around the same time. I know it was somewhere in the mid-70's. I saw them at a place called Roosevelt Stadium in Jersey City, NJ. Always an awesome band.
Thanks for checking in and your comment.

Never have seen them but good music. playing a little Rod Stewart right now, just enjoying cool evening down south. Have a good evening.

Thank you.
Love Rod Stewart starting with the Faces band.
I'm sure your cool evening down south is much warmer than here in Jersey.

Would loved to have seen them live. I love southern rock

When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

Mid 70's I got so caught up in with the Southern Rock bands.
In time I'm sure I'll be chatting about Poco, Pure Prairie League, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, New Riders of the Purple Sage, Charlie Daniels, Elvin Bishop, Marshall Tucker, The Outlaws
Yep, I could go on and on...
Thanks for the comment

I attended high school at the New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell, New Mexico. I think it was spring 1958 and for the Final Ball that year we had the Glen Miller Orchestra. I have always been a fan of the WWII big band sound.

In a couple weeks I'll be starting that blog "In The Studio" all music related. You'll have to share some stories. I'd be looking forward to hearing...

You have a great choice in music and you have good memories of the fun times then

Thank you!
One of my best memories is...
My oldest sister turned me onto FM Radio in '69.
I was 11, At 13 I had my first guitar.
Wish I still had it...

I saw them live in Toronto around 2001. Was a great show. Always turn them up if they come on the radio.
